Hand washing / 0.05% / 1 Table spoon in 20 Litres of water / 2 Table spoons in 20 Litres of water /
- Clean and dry hands
Mopping of floors
Cleaning of dishes/utensils
Disinfection of beds & beddings
Disinfection of patients’ clothes
Foot bath
Disinfection of patient’s home (floor, beds & beddings, clothes, utensils & latrine)
Decontamination of used gloves
Disinfection of vehicle/ox-cart that carried a patient or dead body
Disinfection of body fluids (vomitus, stool & blood) / 0.5% / 2½ Table spoons in 5 Litres of water / 5 Table spoons in 5 Litres of water /
- Mop the floor every 6 hours or whenever necessary
- For patient’s body fluids, clothes & beddings allow 10 minutes contact time
- Footbath must be wet all the time & changed twice every day or whenever necessary
- For a contaminated vehicle, spray all the surfaces, wait for 10 minutes & mop up with plenty of clean water

Treatment of domestic water / 1% Stock Solution / 5½ Table spoons in 5 Litres of water / 11 Table spoons in 5 Litres of water /
- Wait for 30 minutes for sediments to settle
- Then decant & properly bury the sediments
- Distribute the solution to people for pot to pot chlorination (1 tea spoon to 20 litres of water)
Store in a dark place in airtight container
Disinfection of dead bodies / 2% / 11 Table spoons in 5 Litres of water / 22 Table spoons in 5 Litres of water /
- Spray directly the body with the solution after blocking all orifices and then place the body in heavy plastic bag
