CREEKS LACROSSE BOARD MEETING TENTATIVE AGENDA

In attendance: Dave Opdycke, Pat Cussen, Doug Lilac, John Toukatly, Jason Alford, Chris Bender, Jenna Matejcek

•Call to order

•Secretary’s Report – Jenna Matejcek

•Fall Ball Google Survey (cost) vs email with questions for reply - We have opted to not do a fall ball survey

•President’s Report – Doug Lilac

•Spring Jamboree hosted by Creeks @ Plantation Park - Doug would like Pat and Jenna to work on the jamboree format. Discussed PV wanting tournament winners. Another suggestion was a league winner. We have decided against any tournament team winners as this is not in the spirit of rec ball. The idea of a league winner was a nice idea but with some leagues only having a few teams, we don't see how that willl work. We plan to leave it as is with using the tourney machine app and not having any winners. Doug has lined up Kona Ice and Jax Lax already. He is deciding btw PDQ and Chick fil A.

•Ref training for HS boys (completed 1/15/17) - Doug said it went well

•Dawson Chasteen is the boys contact for HS refs, Bob Purdella for adult

•For boys 2 HS refs each for 8U and 10U, 1 HS and 1 Adult for 12U and 14U

•Shooter shirts moving to dri-fit - Doug wants all boys coaches to encourage their players to to wear their shooter shirts on game days

•FTLL Boys update - 1/29 at Plantation, FL; 2/12 at Palm Coast, FL; 2/26 at Parkland, FL; 3/5 at Lakewood Ranch, FL; 4/2 at Palm Coast, FL

•NFYLL update - 4 v 4 8U with pads and 3 x 3 goals - Boys hosting 4/1 and 4/15 - Hoping to host at Plantation Park

•Boys Spring/Summer Travel moving to Bold City in 2017 or 2018 - Thinking about moving Creeks Boys away from summer travel. We have asked Coach Alford to have a proposal to the board within the next two-three weeks so that we can review before voting on it at the next board meeting

•Creeks Field Practice Schedule - everything is set - Plantation park opens in February for us and some boys/girls teams may move over there.

•Dr. Osborn – Center for Sports Medicine - all set up with Dr. Osborn with the same set us as last year. He will be at games. Jenna needs to get Doug girl home hosting days to pass on to Dr. Osborn

•Vice President’s Report – Sean Hizey

•Reach out to Mike Stevens re Billy Casper Golf Sponsorship - cancelled since Madison Stevens moved to Lady Panthers.

•Sean is working with his company to get a container donated to us. Jenna worked with Joe and got permission and a parking lot spot marked at Durbin for a new shed. Joe says it hsa to be gray or hunter green.

•Treasurer’s Report – Dave Opdycke - reviewd finances. Any coach that needs a refund can email Dave directly. We have enough in funds to purchase goalie gear for boys and girls as well as nets and goals if needed

•Registrar’s Report – Chris Bender

•Spring registration - we are at 207

•Sponsors - Moe's and Interline are all set for $1k sponsorships

•Creeks store set up with Blue Sombrero - lots of orders coming in

•105 uniforms ordered; @ $5k; pinnies were @ $4k

•Girls Director Report – Jenna Matejcek

•Ref training for girls refs - set up for Feb 4th at Durbin - area clubs are brining 12U and 14U players

•Request for new goalie gear for all divisons - need 6 sets - approved

•Boys Director Report – Pat Cussen

•Pat will check on any coaches that need badges

•Coaches need Level 1 certification

•Check equipment needs for boys side (goalie equipment, nets) - he will inventory

•Coaches Training - Looking at Sunday February 5th from 9am-1pm - Jenna will check with Joe for the meeting room

• Follow Ups

•Ball wall painting at Plantation – Jenna confirmed with Joe that we can paint both sides – Chris got quote from Daughtrypainting and he will follow up with him

• Any New Business?

•Website Utilization - talked about team pages, text function, emailing system, blue sombrero app on phones

•Field painting - black for boys, white for girls, red for small fields - Jenna will email JaxLax and copy Doug

•First aid kits - John T will look into first aid kits for us - need 18

•goalie equipment - boys and girls

•Season ball management -Doug's method is ball counts before practices and running if balls are missing at the end

•Goals - we have goals at plantation and are leaving them there since we may utilize those fields in February. 2 goals are at CHS - need to get to Aberdeen field 1 - no goals there.

•Balls - Doug got 6 cases of white - 1 for travel and 5 in shed; 3 cases of yellow for girls
