Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards honor young people in middle and high school grades for outstanding volunteer service to their communities. Created in 1995 by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals [NASSP], the awards constitute the United States’ largest youth recognition program based solely on volunteering at the local, state, and national level. www.prudential.com, or type in key phrase: Prudential Spirit of community awards.

Emory Scholars Program
Emory Scholar awards span four years of undergraduate study and range from 2/3 tuition to full-tuition, room, board, and fees. While at Emory, scholars may participate in an extensive program of educational enrichment including independent research: they may receive stipends to enjoy cultural and social events; they may use awards to study abroad during the school year; and in their summers, they may participate in diverse service-learning opportunities.

Hendrix College
The Hays Memorial Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship offered each year by Hendrix College. The award covers tuition, student activity fee, double occupancy residence hall room, and fifteen meal board plan. Eligibility requirements 3.6 GPA, ACT score of 32 or SAT score of 1410. Art Institute Passion for Fashion Scholarships
The Passion for Fashion Competition challenges teens to create their own original design, fashion marketing, merchandising, or retail management plan. Grand prize winners will receive a full-tuition scholarship to The Art Institute at which they enter the competition, a trip to New York’s Fashion Week, and a “meet and greet” at Seventeen Magazine. Louisiana Tech University Music Scholarship
If you are interested in pursuing a music degree, you must audition to be considered for scholarships and admittance into the Department of Music degree programs. The audition process is separate from being admitted to Louisiana Tech. All applicants are encouraged to apply for admission to Louisiana Tech prior to December 1, 2009 to ensure consideration for academic scholarships. Audition dates for January can be found at http://performingarts.latech.edu/music.

The Haraldson Foundation
Haraldson Foundation need-based scholarships are awarded to University of Texas bound high school seniors who have high SAT or ACT scores, are graduating in the top 10% of their graduating class, and who demonstrate leadership in extra curricular activities, community service, and moral character. SAE Engineering Scholarship Program

Ben Kaplan’s Power of Family Scholarships
Scholarships are open to students of any age. The unique awards competition asks students—along with their parents, mentors, coaches, or other supporters—to contribute equally to the application process: one 500—word essay is submitted by the student and a second 500—word essay is submitted by the primary supporter. Walton Family Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship available to son/daughter of a Wal-Mart employed full-time for at least one year who is a graduating high school senior. Student must register in a 2- or 4- year institution for undergraduate studies. Students attending 2- year institution must agree to transfer to a 4- year institution. American Foreign Service Assosciation Essay Contest
The members of the Foreign Service are like the olive branches in the right talon of the American eagle, advising the president and Secretary of State about foreign relations and carrying out the president's foreign policies. The members of the military service are like the arrows in the eagle's left talon. Although these two groups work together for the national interest of the United States, the Foreign Service is not as well known as the military service. The objective of this contest is to help you and other teenagers better understand how the men and women of the Foreign Service serve the national interests of the United States. The Nelson B. Delavan Foundation, the Diplomatic Automobile Sales, Inc. and the American Foreign Service Association are the sponsors of the National High School Essay contest. Prairie View A&M USDA/1890 National Scholars Program
In 2006, the USDA and 17 Historically Black Land Grant Universities and Tuskegee University will offer 34 fully paid, 4-year scholarships, use of a computer, summer employment, and employment benefits. The University will pay for room and board. Students must be US citizens, demonstrate leadership and sign a service agreement to work one year for USDA [with pay] for each years financial assistance is received. Lone Star Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Annual Scholarship Program
This Program was put into place to assist students who either have multiple sclerosis (MS) or have a parent with MS and would like to achieve a higher level of education. All applicants must meet the basic eligibility criteria, fully complete the application, and meet the deadline. Micron Science and Technology Scholars Program
Micron Technology Foundation is pleased to announce that scholarships will be awarded in the Micron Science and Technology Program to students who have demonstrated excellence in academics and leadership. Students must have a combined SAT Verbal / Math score of 1350 or a composite ACT score of 30 as well as an unweighted GPA of 3.5 – 4.0. Texas Lyceum Leadership Awards
One of the missions of the Texas Lyceum is to identify and develop the next generation of top leadership in the State of Texas, and to do this, this program invests in Texas schools, communities, and future leaders by offering scholarships awards to qualified individuals. Texas Student Housing Scholarship Program
A scholarship program that makes awards available to graduating seniors who are accepted to attend college in Austin, College station, Denton or San Marcos and have not signed off campus housing leases. Texas State University and Texas Women’s University normally do not permit first year students to live off campus. Application is available in Mr. Jackson’s office.
The McKelvey Foundation Entrepreneurial Scholarships

American Dream Scholarship
Established in partnership with the United Negro College Fund, the American Dream Scholarship Program is open to African Americans with financial need. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, with a minimum 2.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), who meet Pell Grant eligibility criteria, and are enrolled full time at approved, accredited, undergraduate institutions. First in My Family Scholarship Program
The First in My Family Scholarship Program, developed in partnership with the Hispanic College Fund, offers scholarships to Hispanic-American students who are the first in their family to attend college and have financial need. The program is open to Hispanic Americans who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled as full time undergraduate students at approved, accredited institutions. Unmet Need Scholarships
Open to families with a combined income of $30,000 or less, this program is intended to supplement financial aid packages that fall more than $1,000 short of students' financial need. This scholarship is not designed as a substitute for aid provided by an institution. The Unmet Need Scholarship program is open to US citizens and permanent residents who are accepted or enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at approved, accredited institutions. Students must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) to be eligible to apply. Recipients will be selected based on financial need. Unmet Need Scholarships range from $1000 – $3800.
