2005 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Minnesota Twins have the following internship positions available for the 2005 baseball season:

Accounting:(February – October)

Assists with the day-to-day management of the various accounting services including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory control and general record keeping. Proficiency in Excel is required.

Community Affairs: (2 positions: 1st March – October, 2nd May – September)

Assist the Community Affairs staff in efforts to shape the Twins’ image in the community. Responsibilities include managing the game day bat kids program, coordination of the Twins Clinics and Coaches Award programs as well as other youth baseball operations.

Game Production:(February – September)

Assists in the coordination of the game day experience both inside and outside the ballpark. Responsibilities include scripting and coordination of various game production elements including music and interactive games, direct mail and photography as well as other marketing projects as needed.

Marketing:(Mid-February – October)

Assists the Marketing department staff in daily tasks. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day advertising, promotions and marketing programs. College senior or graduate with sports/event experience or degree preferred.

Media Relations:(January – October)

Assist the Media Relations staff in efforts to service the local and national media and their needs. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day media clips and statistics, coordination of various game note pages and a number of game day media services.

Operations:(March – September)

Assists in day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include assisting in the administration and management of Guest Services Staff, including employee training, management, recognition and communications. Assists in stadium related aspects of game production and special events. Coordinates operation of Guest Services booths, as well as operation of the volunteer staffing program. Extensive employee and customer relations involvement.

Ticket Office: (February – September)

Assists Ticket Office sales staff with daily ticket operations.

Ticket Sales: (March – October)

Assist the season and group ticket sales staff in an effort to increase overall attendance and revenue. Responsibilities include assistance in sales correspondence and presentation, coordination of game day hospitality venues, the opportunity to manage various group and or season accounts.

Open to current college students or recent graduates.
