Innovative Franchise Event to take place in Limerick

The National Franchise Centre (NFC) supported by the Irish Franchise Association played host to an all-inclusive 1 Day Franchise event in Limerick last Wednesday.
The day featured customised workshops, exhibitors with Franchise opportunities, information on supports available locally & a home grown franchise success story, John Mac Namara CEO of BCM Business Cost Management, who established his business in limerick in 1993 and has franchised worldwide into 17 countries. “Franchising is a wonderful business model for many reasons. It turns the traditional business model on its head whereby international businesses pay your business to expand in their countries rather than you having to invest to expand in those countries”, John stated. With over 120 people in attendance, the event highlighted the popularity of Franchising as a sustainable business start-up, operational and expansion model.
“The NFC is an enterprise development centre established by Limerick Institute of Technology in partnership with Limerick Chamber. Collaboration is integral to our value system and accordingly, we welcomed the opportunity to facilitate a platform event such as this. The day brought together two key national organisations active in the Franchise remit, The National Franchise Centre and Irish Franchise Association” noted Dr. Fergal Barry, President of Limerick Chamber and Vice President of Research, Development and Enterprise, LIT”.
David Killeen, Chairman of the Irish Franchise Association commented “The Irish Franchise Association were happy to support this event which we saw as an important National platform to highlight franchising and assists us in delivering on our mission to promote best practice ethical franchising in Ireland”.
