Youth Advancement Initiative Girls Basketball Program
Middle School/High School Select Team Program Information
Goals
Our underlining goal is to provide aspiring young females the opportunity to improve their basketball knowledge & skill sets and where appropriate obtain a college scholarship through athletic exposure and academic enrichment. The primary objective is to foster an environment for each player to develop and to maximize their basketball knowledge, individual skill set at various positions, and teamwork attitude.
Practices
Practice will be 2 times a week. Practices normally last 2 hrs. during the week and 2.5 on the weekend. Times depends on the gym availability and subject to change. Some practices will be conducted outside. Practices are mandatory unless previous arrangements are made. Parents pay for practice and training and not for playing time.Practice will pick up after middle school basketball is over. Every month every player must pay $25 for gym cost.
Tournaments
Players and Parents are representing the Lady Outlaws when we play in tournaments. Traveling with the team is an honor and needs to be respected. * NO PERSON OTHER THAN LADY OUTLAWS PLAYERS, COACHES OR FAMILY MEMBERS IS PERMITTED INSIDE PLAYER’S ONLY HOTEL ROOM AT OUT OF TOWN EVENTS. The team will try to participate in 8-12 tournaments between Mar-July (Depending on the Finances).
Travel
Parents are responsible for all travel arrangements. If your player will need a ride, contact other team parents for carpooling FIRST. If a parent cannot attend an event, the parent with the help of the coach will help accommodate travel and lodging accordingly and a team room will be made available. No player will stay in a room alone or travel without an adult.
The organization will find rooms for the players and coaches closest to the venue as possible. We want all the players to stay in the same hotel, so the team parent (Team Dad or Mom will help secure a block rooms to help facilitate.
