PUBLISHED PLANNING MEETING AGENDA (year prior to last Congress): YES NO

The annual “business” meeting minutes from 2013 were published to the Ethics SIG VC and a link was created to the minutes in the August 2013 newsletter. The annual business meeting agenda for 2014 was sent out to members via a communique shortly before the 2014 Congress.

XI. LIST STRENGTHS OF SIG:

We have a few “die-hard” members that have been with the SIG for a very long time. Although we are a small SIG, we have steadily grown since our initial charter.

XII. LIST OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT WITHIN SIG:

(State how you are addressing these.)

We are trying to recruit a manager for our virtual community and an archivist/historian. We announced these needs during our annual business meeting and will place an announcement in our newsletter.

We are trying to engage SIG members from outside of the US to become more active within the SIG. One example would be to have newsletters articles about cancer ethics in countries outside of the US. We may start by having foreign-born, but current US citizen oncology nurses write about this topic.

Laura Beamer and Jean Logan are both currently working on dissertations. So we are very busy, but still trying!!
