HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT: Point Proof Purpose practice

Use your current AR book, or use an AR book you read in Q3.

Choose one character.

How is this person like you or someone you know? What adjective would you

use to describe this character? Why is this description accurate?

Write a paragraph that uses evidence from the text to answer the questions.

REQUIREMENTS:

Brainstorm on this sheet and hand in by due date.

Final written work is ONE well-written paragraph using the point-proof-purpose strategy.

Write the paragraph neatly on the lined side of the index card provided OR type the

paragraph and paste it to the card.

Creatively decorate the other side of the card with words/pictures relevant to the book.

You must include the book’s title and author.

POINT: Include title and basic plot. Identify the character you are choosing and what adjective you would use that describes both the character and you.

*Review the PPP notes. Make sure you properly create the “lead in”!!

PROOF: Cite evidence from the story to support your description.
