December 2013 CEO Report
1. Ribbon Cuttings/Grand Openings/Ground Breakings/Open House
Planting of the Menifee Oak Tree- December 4, 2013, the landmark of the community's future gathering spot in the Menifee Town Center. Director Cynthia Nemelka and I represented the chamber as the 28 foot Quercus Agriflio Oak Tree was transported in by flatbed truck and placed in the ground. Part of the program included speeches from City Manager Rob Johnson, Richard Lichtenstein from Regent Properties and Mayor Scott Mann.
Chamber participated in the City Tree Lightening Ceremony. Staff organized parade. Distributed flyers to schools and had a booth at City Hall. Pasted out Directories at the booth.
Attended Grand Opening of the Menifee Boys and Girls Club.
Attended Awards ceremony at Santa Rosa Academy and presented the school a framed picture from the Ribbon Cutting.
Attended Open House and Santa Breakfast at Chamber Members Provechos Restaurant.
Attended the Bel Air Christmas dinner and volunteered and served the seniors their food.
Attended and volunteered for Santa's Workshop and coordinated all over 100 Elf's. Board attendance: Luis Hutchins. He also donated pizza to the volunteers.

4. Interviews conducted: 6 from Workforce Development, also received 3 additional applications. Was advised by Aaron to hold off on hiring until we have an executive meeting.
5. SBDC REPORT: from Karla Gonzalez
1. Start Up/Loan Client (Attended Loan Workshop after he received a flyer from the Chamber)
Attended Loans for Your Business and because of that schedule an appointment for one on one counseling. I have met with him four (4) times to develop his financial projections and Business Plan. He is now completing the loan application and I will be submitting it by end this week and will follow up with the lender.
2. Start Up/ Loan Client (Attended Loan Workshop after they received a flyer from the Chamber)
Attended Loans for your Business Workshop. Client came in for Business Planning assistance and to see if obtaining a loan was feasible for them to reignite their business (they put the business on hold during the economic downturn). After reviewing their financials, I assisted them in developing a Business Plan and Projections. They provided me with a completed loan application and we are now waiting to hear back from the lender which could be after the holidays.

7. Quarterly Luncheon: Hosted by Rotary Club of Menifee at BJ's Restaurant. Attendance 42-paid 38
Speaker: Captain Michael Judge- Menifee Police Dept. Really nice turn out for a pouring down rain. Great questions and Captain judge was happy with the communities questions.
8. Mayor's Business roundtable; printed personal invitations--mailed to each invitee. Collected 3 questions to discuss with the Mayor.

10. Executive Meeting: I wasn't given notice of. There was no Board Meeting for December.
11. SWCLC- planning session at Lake Elsinore Chamber of Commerce. Discussion of sponsorship of the council for next year and contacts.

DECEMBER REPORT – JOAN RING
Joan felt the need to write a daily diary of her efforts at the chamber.
December 2, 2013-Called members for reservations for Quarterly luncheon. Emailed flyer and made spread sheet for reference. Answered call regarding new business directory, emailed information to publisher. Took various calls for chamber information regarding membership and other issues relating to local business area.
December 3, 2013-Follow up on quarterly luncheon. Set up appointments for Deni Horne and my visits to 3 members. Ameriprise, Premier Spa, and What a Deal car dealer. Answered calls for office, verified. number of guests for holiday party at Kristen’s house. Waited for Deni Horne, had to cancel all calls and reschedule as Deni was unable to make our appointments due to over booking.
December 4, 2013-Called members for donations for City tree lighting. Called BJ’s, Texas Roadhouse, and Breakfast Club for cookies and food for Santa’s arrival. Picked up gift certificates. Started suggested list for Mayor’s roundtable. Answered calls for information in office. Greeted people in office and passed information on membership to 3 people.
December 5, 2013-Began search for donations for mixer on the 11th. Prepared for party. Chamber brought bar and food stuff. Answered calls and manned office, Dorothy and Ebony out on calls.
December 6, 2013-Off on Friday, but attended tree lighting. Checked on food delivery
December 9, 2013-Off Flood at my home.
December 10, 2013-Arranged for all food pick-ups for Mixer. Called Miguel, Tom Powers, Henry Dang. Arranged pickups, from Rubio’s, and Sam’s Club. Arranged for ticket sales, all things need for my duty at mixer. Went to bank for bank loaded my car. Worked on list of guests for Mayor’s roundtable.
December 11, 2013-Answered calls for mixer, checked items to go. Answered phone calls for office. Picked up gift certificates. Arranged food pickups for Tree Lighting.
December 12, 2013-Sent thank you cards for mixer food donations, prepared lists of people for Mayors Roundtable. Answered calls.
December 13, 2013-OFF
December 16, 2013-Updating list for quarterly luncheon. Preparing for guest arrival. Answered calls, Delivered directories to Sun City shopping center. Met with Dollar Store manager, not able to join the chamber at this time. Left packet with new Vitamin store.
December 17, 2013- Went on calls with Deni Horne. Met with Dr. Gurvits’ associate regarding Melissa Melendez involvement with local members. Left directories. Met with Richardson’s RV dropped off directories and encouraged them to join the Chamber, they were delighted to meet Melissa’s representative. Left directories with Evans Brown and Hope Pharmacy. Manned office.
December 18,2013-Called to invite more members to Quarterly luncheon. Answered calls for chamber. Sold membership to Geri-Fit, personal trainers. Wrote article for Menifee Buzz. Delivered directories to countryside Marketplace.
December 19, 2013-Attended Quarterly luncheon, sold tickets, deposited checks. Answered various calls for chamber information. Returned call to Richardardson’s RV. Visited them with Deni Horne on Tuesday, they were impressed that we took the time to visit them with Melissa’s representative.. Interested in joining the Chamber after the holidays. I set appointment to meet with their Public relations lady Holley on January 7 to discuss membership
