PLANNING OFFICER
Overall Responsibilities: / Responsible for supporting the achievement of Genesis’ growth through the implementation of an efficient and effective production planning system. Duties include planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes.Work closely with Development, Manufacturing, Procurement, Distribution and Sales to ensure there was good cross functional working.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks: -
- Generate daily production schedules for the bakery
- Transfer the production schedule to the Steven’s System
- Develop the integration between the production schedule and the Steven’s system
- Cover for the Planning Manager when on leave
- Manage the Steven’s System to ensure that it is providing accurate, up to date information
- Diagnose problems with the Steven’s System as they arise and report to support team when necessary
- Responsible for management and maintenance of the recipes with the Technical team
- Build accurate Bills of Material in Navision for finished goods
- Follow up on and take action against any discrepancies in production totals that arise throughout the production process
- To ensure safe working practices are adopted at all times in accordance with Safety, Health and Environmental policies, procedures and legislation.
- To communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changes.
- To ensure 100% completion of daily rituals
- To attend taste panels when required
- To support the Improvement Programmes in place
- To encourage colleagues to participate and drive continuous improvement in their area
- To meet daily Key Performance Indicators on a consistent basis
- Any other duties within the post holder’s competence as requested by the manager.
