French is required (COMPULSORY) in these LCs(FRENCH ONLY no exceptions) : Amiens, Angers, Brest, Besancon, Bobigny, Lille, Marseille, Montpellier, Nimes, Paris 7, Paris Ouest, Rouen, Rennes
Exchange students with poor language proficiency will be rejected and the clerkship cancelled.
80% of attendanceis compulsory in order to get the IFMSA certificate.
If the student does not respect the working conditions of the department, the clerkship will be cancelled, including boarding and lodging.
Incoming students are expected to fill in their logbook in order to get a certificate. If you come without one, our LEOs will be able to provide you one.
If the student wishes to stay 3 weeks instead of 4, he must mention it in his AF, and get approval from the NEO first.
Students are expected to have at least pre-clinical skills.

Application documents and deadlines
The standard documentsare the basic documents that the students are asking for andthe special documentsare less important, as only some Local Committees ask for them. So it's mandatory to upload the standard documents, but not the special ones. (Students do it when asked for by the LEO/NEO.)

We require1 Motivation letter per department(in French if you speak French otherwise we’ll consider you don’t)

For Lille: We require a Mission statement from the dean of your faculty, proving that you've been approved for an exchange.
For Saint-Etienne: We require a chest X-ray and proof of vaccination for hepatites B

ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE TRANSLATED TOENGLISH OR FRENCH.
ANEMF recommends to Incoming students from European Union that they procure an European Health Insurance card for the period of their clerkship

Special remarks: / It is not always possible to place students in the city, they’ve selected. We have limited places in all of our LCs, especially Paris.Students are placed according to the date of reception of the AF. (First AFs sent, first served).

We only provide lodging for the mentioned period in the CA. If the student wishes to arrive before or after this period, the student must send the LEO and/or NEO an e-mail asking his permission.
Card of confirmation:4 weeks in advance
Special remarks: / CC : Please, mention precisely your time and place of arrival. CC must be sent 4 weeks prior to the beginning of your clerkship. If not, we will consider your clerkship cancelled.
The exchange student must contact his CPs by e-mail at least 2 weeks before his arrival, if not his clerkship will be cancelled.

  • Health insurance: It covers expenses linked to health issues (if you have to see a doctor and buy drugs on prescription)
  • Liability insurance: It covers expenses related to damages you can cause to objects or people outside from your professional duties.
  • Malpractice insurance: It covers you if you harm patients during your professional duties at the hospital and you get sued.

Social Program details
Generally only one city organize the NSP during the exchange period. It happens during July and takes place in the south of France.
The exact program is newly set each year.

About Visas:
Invitation letter must be asked at least 10 weeks before the clerkship.
Incoming students might need an « Attestation d’accueil » to get their visa. It costs 45 euros.
Any incoming who will need this document will have to pay 45 euros to the LC upon arrival.
It has to be requested at least 10 weeks before the beginning of the clerkship, because it sometimes takes 2 weeks to get it from the administration
Please apply for a visa "visite de courtedurée a caractèreprivéou familial" or a « tourist VISA ».
DO NOT APPLY FOR A WORK VISA.
CERTIFICATE : You must attend at least 80% of the clerckship AND fill in the valutationForm online BEFORE you leave to get you certificate. LEOs will not send certificates by postafterwards.
