GMS CHORUS CONCERT INFO SHEET
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17th, 2013 6:30 and 7:30
The big day is fast approaching, so it is time to go through the list and make sure that we are ready for the show!
Who Will Be Performing:The GMS show choir, 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade choirs and the GMS steel drum band the “Pans of Steel!”
When to Be There: (Please do not be late. We warm up at these times and then students take their seats in the auditorium with their classes.) 6:15PM=Show choir, 6th grade, steel drums
7:15PM=7th grade and 8th grade
When it Starts: 6:30=Show choir, 6th grade, steel drums
7:30= 7th grade, 8th grade, steel drums
How Long it Lasts: Each concert will be about 1 hour long.
Where the Concert is Held: The Hortonville High School Auditorium
Where to Go: HHS Auditorium. You may park in the school parking lot and enter at the doors marked 5N. If you have bake sale or canned food drive items, please bring them to the lobby of the auditorium before the show. Students will report to their warm up room, check in with the teacher in charge, and remain there until warm-ups. Warm-up rooms will be as follows:
6th Grade-Choir RoomShow Choir and Pans of Steel-Green room
7th Grade-Band room8th Grade-Choir Room
After warm-ups students will walk as a class to their seats in the auditorium.
What to Wear: Ladies—A dress or dress pants and dressy top and dress shoes
Gentlemen—Dress pants and shirt. Dark socks. Dress shoes
Show Choir ---Check with Mrs. Montour for uniform needs.
NO JEANS OR TENNIS SHOES FOR ANYONE!
Tis the Season for Giving: We will be collecting canned food items to support “Dewey’s Crew Food Drive” for the Dale food pantry as you come into the auditorium. We also will be doing our annual “pass-the-hat” fundraiser for the GMS chorus department. Hats will be passed through the audience during a break in the concert. Feel free to contribute to these fundraisers if you wish.
Tis the Season for Goodies!: The music boosters are planning a bake sale at our holiday concerts again this year.If you enjoy baking and would like to donate, please sign up using the online form found at form is set up so all responses go directly to Jennifer Bishop, music booster volunteer coordinator who will contact you with more details.
FINAL REMINDER—If you need to be granted an excused absence from this concert, please inform Mrs. Schmidt in writing right away.
