1. WELCOME AND CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:40pm.
2. AGENDA
Kristine moved to accept the Agenda. Sheila seconded. Carried.
3. FINANCIAL REPORT
Financial Report for year ended June 30, 2016 – Sheila Hobday
· Casino Account
o Opening balance at July 1, 2015 $77,103, ending balance at June 30, 2016 $34,495.
o Net decrease of $42,608
· General Account
o Opening balance at July 1, 2015 $122,542, ending balance at June 30, 2016 $143,018.
o Net increase of $20,476
· Total cash at June 30, 2016 $177,513, at net decrease of $22,132 from the beginning of the year
· Fundraising Proceeds were $37,704; main fundraisers
o $16,734 for Entertainment Books
o $4,796 for the Fall Fair
o $3,913 for Fun Lunch
o $3,679 for Movie Night (4 movies)
o $3,242 for Popcorn
o $2,685 for Halloween Dance
· Total Expenses were$94,309, after removing fundraising costs it’s $59,264
o Administrative Expenses were $1,642; main items were insurance and GST Expense
o Council Initiatives $8,818; main items were Teacher Development for $4,177 (Friendology Summit and Planètes des Alphas); Learning Commons $1,830 (most of the $16,000 budget was not spent and was carried into the 2016-17 school year); Staff Coffee and Lunch $ 1,106
o School Expenditures $48,804 main items were:

§ Cultural Performance (Quest Theatre & Alberta Opera) $2,957
§ Field Trips (bussing for 1 field trip per grade, Gr 4 to Tyrell) $4,998

§ Trickster Artist in Residence $15,619
Heather Grant and Michelle Thorburn reviewed these financial records and have children currently attending Sam Livingston.
4. NOMINATIONS
President – not confirmed
Raina is nominating Sarah McKenna as Vice President. Kristine seconded. All in favour. Carried.
Raina nominated Sheila Hobday as Secretary. Stacey seconded. All in favour. Carried.
Sarah nominated Audrey Arnal as Treasurer. Keri seconded. All in favour. Carried.
Kim Gobeil and Michelle Thornburn are nominated as Auditors for the Association.
