He stated this is something that we wanted to implement this year and was really concerned about how the students felt about the forum moving from open voting to silent ballot voting. The President opened the floor discussion and 5 minutes was given. The discussion started off slow but eventually picked up! The time ran out but there was a representative that had a question. The President made a motion to continue the discussion for an additional 2 minutes. It was made and properly seconded. The discussion continued. However, the 2 minutes ran out too. So a discussion to table the discussion was made but there was some objection to this from the forum. So a motion to table the discussion or continue the discussion was made by the President. The motion was made and properly seconded. The president asked all those in favor say I or nay. The I’s and Nays were equal. So the President instructed one of the Justices to take a hand vote.
