DuraFon-SIP is designed to deliver reliable, long-range communications over large areas such as golf courses, resort properties, or high-rise hotels, or in harsh environments like industrial plants, oil and gas fields, and warehouses. DuraFon-SIP, which works with hosted VoIP services or any IP-PBX system that supports the standard SIP protocol, supports two-way intercom and PTT broadcast modes in addition to the cordless phone capabilities to provide users with multiple modes of communication.

Extreme Range Lowers Capital Expenditures and Enables Faster Deployments
DuraFon-SIP features EnGenius’ high power, easy-to-deploy single-cell technology that covers up to 250,000 square feet indoors, 3,000 acres outdoors, and penetrates up to 12 floors providing extended range that would require multiple base stations or repeaters with other solutions. Combining 900MHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology with high RF transmission and sensitivity enables DuraFon-SIP to provide superior long-range performance.Minimizing the amount of equipment required to cover the premises lowers capital expenditures and makes it quicker and easier to deploy than other long-range business cordless phone systems.
DuraFon-SIP operates independently of your existing Wi-Fi network eliminating concerns about roaming or QoS issues associated with voice communications over a WLAN. Since DuraFon-SIP utilizes the 900MHz frequency there is also no need to worry about the system receiving or causing interference to existing 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

In addition to the long-range cordless phone capabilities, DuraFon-SIP provides an independent two-way intercom function to enable handset-to-handset communication without going through the base station for quick contact with specific users without group chatter. DuraFon-SIP also features the favored “Push-to-Talk” Broadcast feature, which allows users to communicate between all handsets or to a group of handsets for instant response without the wait.
DuraFon-SIPfeatures an RJ45 Ethernetport and supports 10 SIP accounts with four concurrent talk paths. An RJ11 PSTN port is ideal for use as an auxiliary port for connecting devices such as a call box.
The EnGeniusDuraFon-SIPis now availablein North America via authorized retailers, distributors and value-added resellers at a MSRP of $1,499.99 for the DuraFon-SIP system which includes the base station and one handset. Additional handsets and base stations are available at MSRPs of $399.99 and $1,199.99, respectively.
