NEW BRIDGE MIDDLE SCHOOL COLOR FUN RUN
Dear Parents,
On Friday, October 28th our students will participate in our annual FUN RUN. This event is our school-wide fund raising project where students receive pledges/donations from family members and/or friends for walking, skipping, or jogging a specific number of laps around the athletic field. It is an excellent way to encourage physical fitness, as well as provide needed funds for equipment, technology, and supplies for our school.
Each student has received a pledge envelope to track pledges and donations. On the day of the FUN RUN, students will give their signed pledge envelope to their teacher before the event. A $10.00 minimum pledge is required to participate with a parent signature on the pledge sheet. After the students have completed the FUN RUN, the total number of laps completed will be validated and pledge envelopes will be returned for pledge collections. All money will need to be collected and turned in by Friday, November 9th.
Students participating in the FUN RUN shall adhere to the following dress code rules for the day:
· All students participating in the Fun Run event must wear comfortable walking clothes. WHITE SHIRTS, FLIP-FLOPS, SHORT SHORTS, MIDRIFF TOPS, TANK TOPS, DENIM SHORTS, and/or T-SHIRTS WITH OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE OR LOGOS will not be permitted!
· This year the FUN RUN will be a COLOR RUN!!! Students will be dusted with color powder that is non-toxic. It does wash out of clothing. There will be a NON COLOR RUN area set up for students who do not want to participate in the color portion. Please let us know on the collection sheet if you DO NOT want your child to be involved in this part of the event.
· 8th-Come to school wearing Fun Run clothing. You will change into FULL uniform afterwards. If you are not participating in the Fun Run, you will wear your uniform the entire day.
· 7th/6th-Come to school in FULL uniform and bring clothes for the Fun Run. You will change back to uniforms.
We will have many different prizes for students who participate in the FUN RUN including gift certificates, technology, trophies, ice cream parties, dance passes, and much more!
