12.  Training Event Updates – All Discuss and Organize

Old Training Requests?

·  Bellville, TX – As of the last meeting (see below) update from Clay

·  Clay Reid is working with Austin County SO – Lt. Al Cordeiro – Original date was in Feb 2014? Weather and other work related activities resulted in a delay. They are interested in typical training we put on but also interested in Decon.

·  Bellville is interested in training for Fire, EMS and Law Enforcement responding to major incidents. What dates available? Need the training coordinator to get with Clay to set dates.

·  Edna, TX, - I need to contact the training Chief at this location to follow up if we can perform training there. (See below for last comments)

·  Training Chief has contacted me about our usual training. I have not had time to coordinate with him, we had a couple of conversations but one or both of us would have bad connections. He is looking for our typical training package.

New Training Requests –

·  San Marcos FD Battalion Chief – Training Aaron Crawford

100 Carlson Circle San Marcos, TX 78666

Chief Crawford has returned the training application which was forwarded to our Railroad group for proper distribution and planning. Where do we stand on this request?

·  The Dow Safety train will be running in Texas. Chris Harvey said that their Safety Train will run in the fall of 2016 starting in Freeport and moving toward to Houston.

·  Chlorine Institute training coming to Texas in 2016. Kevin Machemehl says they will be here in the 1st quarter.

·  Russ Wilson would like to develop an event that has chemical specific training for his company, the fire dept and surrounding companies.

·  Harris County wants some training for the Pasadena area for rail. Kevin Machmehl will check with the Chlorine institute to see if their trainng will fit with Harris county’s request.

No new business introduced.

A meeting will be scheduled in February – Dupre volunteered their site again for the meeting.
