Birel ART makes changes for 2017
Birel ART has displayed strong ambitions for its Racing Team in 2017 with new TM Racing engines, a restructuring of the technical team, a renewal of drivers and changes to the chassis.
Ronni Sala, President of Birel ART: "This year we have decided to intensify our efforts in KZ, while continuing in the new categories OK and OK-Junior on the start of the 2016 season. We worked hard on chassis development last year and the 2017 versions take advantage of several important developments that will allow us to aim for high targets.
After two seasons of fruitful collaboration with the IAME, whose engines have brought us much satisfaction, we have decided to equip the Racing Team with TM Racing engines for 2017. It was not easy to make this decision because the IAME has always been a loyal partner, but our desire to win in KZ has oriented us towards TM Racing.
The technical management of the two Racing Teams, Birel ART and Ricciardo Kart, is now entrusted to theloyal Rickard Kaell Franchini, backed up by Francesco Binda Beschi.
We are thrilled to have recruited such a talented and experienced driver as Felice Tiene. He is one of the greatest current performers and at the same time an outstanding debutant. We are very hopeful about this new collaboration. As the leader of the team, Felice will initially dedicate himself to KZ, but will also race in OK, notably at the World OK Championship at PFI. His first outingsat Lonato have been very positive regarding the quality of our chassis for 2017.
The young Dutchman Marijn Kremers will accompany Tiene in KZ where his great potential should be revealed quickly, while the Swede Alexander Dahlberg will progress in KZ2. For the OK category, we will rely on the Brazilian Caio Collet and the American Michael D'Orlando (Birel ART) and the Swedes Rasmus Lindh and Simon Ohlin (Ricciardo Kart)
We chose to trust four very promising young drivers to defend the colours of Birel ART in OK-Junior, with the Italian Pietro Delli Guanti, the Briton Dexter Patterson, as well as the Venezuelans Alessandro Famularo and Anthony Famularo. Our line-up is not entirely complete, and there are contracts still to be finalised. Rick Dreezen will explore a different path by driving a Vortex-powered Birel ART in the Austrian semi-official KSW team."
The 2017 programme of the Birel ART Racing Team will start at the WSK Champions Cup before continuing with the WSK Super Master Series and the Winter Cup. The CIK-FIA events of the European Championships, World Championships and International Super Cup will be the most important objective of the season, while some DKM races are also planned.
Birel ART will use the new CRY30 S8-B and CRY32 S8-B chassis in KZ and KZ2, and the RY29 S8-B and RY30 S8-B models in OK and OK-Junior, while Ricciardo Kart will use the new DR01-B.
The TM Racing KZ engines will be prepared directly by the factory under the responsibility of Franco Drudi. The KZ2 engines will be entrusted to Bruno Daldosso, Macháč Motors will ensure the preparation of theOK engines and GFR Engines that of OK-Junior.
Un 2017 all’insegna del cambiamento per Birel ART
Grandi ambizioni per il Racing Team di Birel ART per la stagione 2017 grazie alle nuove motorizzazioni TM Racing, a una ristrutturazione dello staff tecnico, a un rinnovo dei piloti e agli sviluppi dei telai.
Ronni Sala, Presidente di Birel ART: “Quest’anno abbiamo deciso d’intensificare il nostro impegno nella KZ, continuando comunque nelle nuove categorie OK e OK-Junior sulla scia della stagione 2016. L’anno scorso ci siamo impegnati molto nello sviluppo dei telai e le versioni 2017 presentano vari miglioramenti importanti che ci consentiranno di puntare a obiettivi sempre più ambiziosi.
Dopo due stagioni di fruttuosa collaborazione con IAME, i cui motori ci hanno dato molte soddisfazioni, abbiamo deciso di dotare il Racing Team di motori TM Racing per il 2017. Non è stato facile prendere questa decisione perché IAME è sempre stato un partner leale, ma è la nostra volontà di voler vincere nella KZ che ci ha spinto verso TM Racing.
La direzione tecnica dei due Racing Team, Birel ART e Ricciardo Kart, è ormai affidata al nostro fedele Rickard Kaell Franchini, affiancato da Francesco Binda Beschi.
Siamo molto contenti di aver ingaggiato un pilota così talentuoso ed esperto come Felice Tiene. Si tratta di uno dei più grandi interpreti della disciplina oltre che di un collaudatore straordinario. Riponiamo molte speranze in questa nuova collaborazione. Come capofila del Team, Felice si dedicherà innanzitutto alla KZ, per poi cimentarsi anche nella OK, in particolare nel Campionato del mondo OK a PFI. Il suo feedback sulla qualità dei nostri telai 2017, dopo i primi test a Lonato, sono molto positivi .
Il giovane olandese Marijn Kremer affiancherà Tiene nella KZ dove il suo elevato potenziale dovrebbe rivelarsi velocemente, mentre lo svedese Alexander Dahlberg correrà nella KZ2. Per la categoria OK faremo affidamento da un lato sul brasiliano Caio Collet e lo statunitense Michael D’Orlando (Birel ART) e dall’altro sugli svedesi Rasmus Lindh e Simon Ohlin (Ricciardo Kart).
Abbiamo scelto di puntare su quattro giovani piloti molto promettenti per difendere i colori di Birel ART nella OK-Junior con l’italiano Pietro Delli Guanti, l’inglese Dexter Patterson e i due venezuelani Alessandro Famularo e Anthony Famularo. La nostra formazione non è ancora al completo perché rimangono da finalizzare alcuni contatti. Rick Dreezen, invece, percorrerà una strada diversa pilotando un Birel ART con motore Vortex nel team austriaco semi-ufficiale KSW”.
Il programma 2017 di Birel ART Racing Team inizierà con la WSK Champions Cup per poi proseguire con la WSK Super Master Series e la Winter Cup. Le prove CIK-FIA dei Campionati europei, dei Campionati del mondo e della Super Coppa Internazionale saranno uno degli obiettivi più importanti della stagione. Abbiamo in programma anche alcune gare DKM.
Birel ART userà i nuovi telai CRY30 S8-B e CRY32 S8-B nella KZ/KZ2 e i modelli RY29 S8-B e RY30 S8-B nella OK/OK-Junior, mentre il nuovo DR01-B sarà usato dal team Ricciardo Kart.
I motori TM Racing KZ saranno preparati direttamente dall’azienda sotto la responsabilità di Franco Drudi. I motori KZ2 saranno affidati a Bruno Daldosso, Macháč Motors assicurerà la preparazione degli OK e GFR Engines degli OK-Junior.
Birel ART place 2017 sous le signe du changement
Birel ART affiche de fortes ambitions pour son Racing Team en 2017 avec de nouvelles motorisations TM Racing, une restructuration de l'équipe technique, un renouvellement des pilotes et des évolutions au niveau des châssis.
Ronni Sala, Président de Birel ART: «Cette année nous avons décidé d'intensifier nos efforts en KZ, tout en persévérant dans les nouvelles catégories OK et OK-Junior sur la lancée de la saison 2016. Nous avons beaucoup travaillé sur le développement des châssis l'an dernier et les versions 2017 profitent de plusieurs évolutions importantes qui vont nous permettre de viser des objectifs élevés.
Après deux saisons de collaboration fructueuse avec la IAME dont les moteurs nous ont apporté de nombreuses satisfactions, nous avons décidé d'équiper le Racing Team de mécaniques TM Racing pour 2017. Il n'a pas été facile de prendre cette décision parce la IAME a toujours été un partenaire loyal, mais c'est notre volonté de gagner en KZ qui nous a orientés vers TM Racing.
La direction technique des deux Racing Team, Birel ART et Ricciardo Kart, est désormais confiée à notre fidèle Rickard Kaell Franchini, secondé par Francesco Binda Beschi.
Nous sommes ravis d'avoir recruté un pilote aussi talentueux et expérimenté que Felice Tiene. Il s'agit d'un des plus grands performers actuels en même temps que d'un metteur au point hors pair. Nous fondons beaucoup d'espoirs sur cette nouvelle collaboration. En tant que chef de file de l'équipe, Felice se dédiera en premier lieu à la KZ, mais pour également évoluer en OK, notamment à l'occasion du Championnat du Monde OK à PFI. Ses retours sur les premiers roulages effectués à Lonato sont très positifs sur la qualité de nos châssis 2017.
Le jeune Hollandais Marijn Kremers accompagnera Tiene en KZ où son fort potentiel devrait se révéler rapidement, tandis que le Suédois Alexander Dahlberg évoluera en KZ2. Pour la catégorie OK, nous nous appuierons d'une part sur le Brésilien Caio Collet et l'Américain Michael D'Orlando (Birel ART) et d'autre part sur les Suédois Rasmus Lindh et Simon Ohlin (Ricciardo Kart),
Nous avons choisi de faire confiance à quatre jeunes pilotes très prometteurs pour défendre les couleurs de Birel ART en OK-Junior avec l'Italien Pietro Delli Guanti, le Britannique Dexter Patterson, ainsi que les Vénézuéliens Alessandro Famularo et Anthony Famularo. Notre formation n'est pas tout à fait complète, des contacts restant encore à finaliser. Rick Dreezen explorera quant à lui une voie différente en pilotant un Birel ART à motorisation Vortex au sein du team semi-officiel autrichien KSW.»
Le programme 2017 du Birel ART Racing Team débutera dès la WSK Champions Cup avant de se poursuivre par la WSK Super Master Series et la Winter Cup. Les épreuves CIK-FIA des Championnats d'Europe, Championnats du Monde et Super Coupe Internationale constitueront l'objectif le plus important de la saison, tandis que quelques courses du DKM sont également prévues.
Birel ART utilisera les nouveaux châssis CRY30 S8-B et CRY32 S8-B en KZ/KZ2, et les modèles RY29 S8-B et RY30 S8-B en OK/OK-Junior, tandis que le nouveau DR01-B sera de la partie pour Ricciardo Kart.
