Caring for your own needs
- Maintaining my integrity by being honest even when I’m embarrassed to
- Feeling myself and feel that my mind as a facilitator is in great shape
- Drink lots of water, proper food when time, remember to breathe deeply, be in good time with notices to the participants
- I host myself by not “running away” from reality
- I check my energies to see what is needed and then I take an action that builds that energy in me: Low energy…shift the energy, do something fun J
- Remember to take it “slow”
- Be “slowly fast” – means going everything through with good energy, awareness, grounding and sensibility.
Personal Practices
- Meditation
- Breathe deeply and consciously
- Sleep zzzZZZ
- Running
- Yoga
- Daily meditation or quiet reflection
- Find a place of silence inside, outside
- Care for my body body, exercise, breathing, healthy eating
- I go out and do energy exercises, bringing me in contact with my own energy, with my own state of being , so it is easier to recognize what is mine and what is not and keep my center
- I leave the group energy in breaks
- I always take care of myself first, so I don’t create a hunger in myself while feeding others. Before: Time for myself, During: Make sure I get water, food and have materials ready beforehand, After: take time to wind down.
- Happy Heart, Radiant Heart – Letting others help, asking for other people to help
- Breathe through the heart
Caring for the space
- I recognize I am a part of the group and look for what is missing in the room and bring it (is water running low, are candles burning, etc.)
Being Prepared (Personal and Proffesional preparation)
- Do my preparation work before hosting
- Focus on tracking my breathing
- Be well prepared, be in good spirit, be awake/aware of all the positive responds from my “work”
- Eliminate/minimize sources of stress
- Set clear intent (outcome)and then detach
- Find the why the meaning within myself
- Remember that you are good at this work because it is meaningful work, you love it, be relaxed
Principles
- Leave space for emergence – brings life also to you, keeps the process fresh
- Trust and accept the process
- Listen to the “voice” of the process for refinements, Stay in the flow of life
- Don’t resist the flow
- Enjoy the process forget about ambitions
- Let go and accept
- Play with the unexpected
- Be as authentic as possible
Others
IMAGE – have a power image you can draw on in difficult situations like how you navigate waters in a ship when the waves get high when sailing is one of your resources
CHECKING IN – With mates if they are sensing what I am sensing in the group
HOLD STRUCTURE – Keep focus on holding the structure clear and brigh
2. Session: Drawings of what helps and hinders us in hosting ourselves
(Harvested as a forcefield analysis of forces in play in regards to hosting yourself)
