Grade 7 French Immersion Contract 2013-2014
Late French Immersion is open to ALL anglophone students. It is not necessary to have a parent who is, or can speak French. The decision to enter this program should be made by the student and the parent/guardian, since a commitment from both is necessary for enrolment.
This program immerses the students in French for 70% of their subjects. French Language Arts, Social Studies, mathematics, Science, and Healthy Living are taught in French; while English Language Arts, Music/Art, Family Studies/Technology Education and Physical Education are taught in English. Because of the nature of the program – learning a second language – a student and parent/guardian’s commitment are paramount to the student’s success.
If you have any questions regarding this program, please contact the principal, Maria Carty at 765-7570.
