Fourth Grade News!

Hello 4th Grade Parents!Thank you so much to all the parents who came in for conferences this past Thursday! I am looking forward to meeting with the rest of you over the next few weeks.
Please remember there is no school this Friday, 10/14 and Monday, 10/17. This week our schedule will change a bit. We will have both our Reading Comprehension test and our Word Wisdom quiz on Thursday!
In Greenhouse this week we will be photographing nature using the iPads. If students want to bring in a leaf on Wednesday to identify and share they can.
If you are planning on ordering from the Scholastic Book order please send it in by Thursday, 10/13. You can also order online using our class code P869V. Orders will be in by Halloween.

A Few Notes:
Book Report Reminder: For the month of October there will be 2 book reports required from each student. An additional 2 book reports can be turned in for extra credit. Students should be reading 20 minutes per night at home. Extra book report forms can be found in my online classroom or at school.
REDO Policy Reminder: Students are permitted to correct their mistakes on any classroom assignment if their score is below a 70%. They will earn back one-half of the points they miss if they correct the entire assignment. If the assignment is eligible to be corrected it will be marked REDO at the top. Students are not permitted to redo tests or quizzes. The assignment must be turned in within two days following its return to the student.

The rest of the week we will be discussing Lesson 1.4 Conflicts Over Ohio Territory. / This week we will be working on writing our final drafts to our Realistic Fiction stories. Thank you for taking the time over the weekend to help your child edit their papers.
