INTEGRATED PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT

Unit theme: ¿Quieres ir conmigo?

Context for the Integrated Performance Assessment: A group of students from Madrid is coming to spend two weeks in your school. They would like to know if American students do the same activities on Saturdays that Spanish students do.
Interpretive Task: Watch the Videohistoria: Un chico reservado from Realidades 1, DVD 2, Capítulo 4B (without the vocabulary words displayed) in which several students from Madrid talk about their Saturday activities. Make a list of these activities.
Interpersonal Task: Compare your list with your partner’s list to make sure that you both know what the Spanish students do on Saturdays. Work with your partner to add a list of activities that American students often do on Saturdays.
Presentational Task: Write an e-mail to one of the students from Madrid comparing the activities students in Spain and the U.S. do on Saturdays. Be sure to include similarities and differences.
