Stephen George + Partners appoints Noel Street
Stephen George + Partners, one of the UK’s leading architectural practices,has appointed Noel Street as part of plans to grow the business in Britain’s second city Birmingham and across the West Midlands.
The practice has aseries ofmajorprojects in Birmingham, including the£25Mnew retail park in Oldbury for international retail developers Hammerson. The 13.9-acre site occupies that of the former Hunt Brothers Griffin Foundry which was demolished in 2003.
Noel joins from AHR Architects where he was studio director in Birmingham.

Noel brings with him a wealth of client relations expertise from both the UK and Hong Kong. He has successfully controlled and delivered large scale, complex projects and frameworks across the Public and Private Sectors in the UK for office, leisure, education, healthcare, industrial, transport, retail, residential, mixed-use and the MOD.
Noel is actively involved in a number of professional organisations and industrial committees including the Construction Industry Council, Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership and the Royal Institute of British Architects on a regional and national level.

Noel has been appointed aschairof the Construction Industry Council in West Midlands. An inaugural meeting is planned for November with the regional chairs of professional bodies including the RIBA, RICS, RTPI, ICE, etc. Regional goals and objectives will be discussed, to champion collective thought leadership and knowledge sharing across the Built Environment including: future skills, technology/agile working, industry productivity, global export opportunities, the performance gap, ethical approaches in construction; and equality and inclusion to attract and retain the best and most diverse talent to the construction industry.
