  1. What is the National PTA Reflections Art Contest? National PTA’s Reflections program is a program that encourages students in pre-K through grade 12 to explore and be involved in the arts. Thousands of kids will reflect on a theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, music composition, literature, photography and visual arts.

  3. How does my child get involved? Students can create a piece of art at home or come to one of our PTA Reflections Workshops. Workshops are during recess on the following Tuesdays: September 16, 23, 30 and October 7.
  4. Can my child enter more than one piece of art? Yes! Your child can enter as many pieces as they would like.
  5. Are there any rules to follow? Yes! Please see (click on Your PTA/Reflections) for the current Illinois State Rules.
  6. How talented does my child have to be to enter? Reflections is for student of ALL abilities to enter! Getting kids to think creatively is the most important aspect of the program.
  7. What happens if my child does not move to the next level or win? The Pleasant Hill PTA strongly supports all students and their abilities. We acknowledge all students who enter with participation awards and participants have the opportunity to be included in the Yearbook.
  8. How does my child submit the art work? Please submit all art work along with a completed Student Entry Form to the Pleasant Hill front office. Student Entry forms can be found in the Pleasant Hill front office, or at (click on Your PTA/Reflections).
  9. What happens to my child’s art work after they submit it? All art work, with the exception of CD submissions (video and music), is matted and placed in the Pleasant Hill Reflections art gallery for about 2 weeks. Art pieces that move to the next level are then sent on to the PTA Council. If your child’s art work continues to move on to the next level, it will be a while before it is returned to you. All awards are given at the end of the school year.
  10. What is the due date? The due date for the 2014-2015 school year is October 20,, 2014.
