1. Recruiting and Admissions

1.1 Admissions Decisions added to Current Recruit

Product Affected: EDW

Universe Affected:EDW – Current Recruit

Case Number:ProdLog #72, 74

General Description: Users have expressed a new requirement to conduct reporting that combines information on Admissions Decisions (found in the EDW - Current Applicant universe) with Recruiting details found in the EDW – Current Recruit universe. To support this new requirement, new data elements have been added to the EDW – Current Recruit universe. A new “Admissions Applications” class was added with a variety of information from the application record, including an “Admissions Decisions” subclass and an Application Indicator that can be used to flag those recruits who have already applied for Admission.

Technical Description:

A new class and subclass have been added to the EDW – Current Recruit universe. These classes contain objects from the V_ADM_DECN_HIST (admissions decisions) and V_ADM_APPL_HIST (admissions applications) views to the universe. An application indicator has also been added. This indicator will return a value of YES if an application record is present for the corresponding person and term, or NO if there is not application record.

1.2 Max Test Score objects added

Product Affected: EDW

Universe Affected:EDW – Current Recruit
EDW – Current Applicant

Case Number:ProdLog #121

General Description: The EDW - Current Recruit and EDW – Current Applicant universes contain all test scores for recruits and applicants. Therefore, reports listing test scores often return multiple rows for each recruit or applicant (one for each score). Users have requested a convenient way to create reports that list only a single row for each recruit or applicant. To meet this new requirement, two new test score objects have been added to these universes. The new Maximum ACT Composite and Maximum SAT Combined objects will each return a single value containing the maximum test score for each recruit or applicant.

Technical Description:

New objects for ACT Composite (test code 1000/2000/4000) and SAT Combined (test code 1800/2800/4800) have been added to the EDW – Current Recruit and EDW – Current Applicant universes. These objects pull the maximum score(s) for each EDW_PERS_ID from the T_TEST_RESULT_HIST table.

2. Financial Aid

2.1 Requirements Tracking table added

Product Affected: EDW

Universe Affected:EDW - Financial Aid Office ad hoc

Case Number:ProdLog #92, 96, 109

General Description: The original set of requirements for the Financial Aid EDW did not include reporting on information related to the Requirements Tracking functionality in the Banner system. Since the Financial Aid implementation, the Financial Aid Offices have expressed a need to report on this information from the Data Warehouse. To meet this new requirement, a new Financial Aid Applicant Requirements Tracking table was added. In addition, a new “Tracking and Verification” class in the EDW – Financial Aid Office Ad hoc universe has been added.

Technical Description:

A new table for Requirements Tracking, T_FA_APPLICANT_TRACK_REQRM, sourced from the RRRAREQ table in Banner, has been added to the Financial Aid EDW. The following validation/code tables have also been added: T_FA_TRACK_REQRM_CD (sourced from RTVTREQ), T_FA_TRACK_REQRM_GROUP_CD (sourced from RTVTGRP).

The Financial Aid universe has been enhanced to include a new “Tracking and Verification” class that pulls data from the new table.

2.2 Person Matching table added

Product Affected: EDW

Universe Affected:EDW - Financial Aid Office ad hoc

Case Number:ProdLog #94, 115

General Description: The original set of requirements for the Financial Aid EDW did not include reporting on information related to the Banner Person matching process for loading financial aid applications. Since the implementation of the Financial Aid EDW, the Financial Aid Offices have expressed a need to report on this information in the Data Warehouse. To meet this new requirement, a Person Match Error table has been added to the Financial Aid EDW. In addition, a new “Person Matching” class has been added to the Financial Aid universe.

Technical Description:

A new table for Person Match Error, T_FA_APPLICANT_PERS_MATCH_ERR, sourced from the ROTIDEN table in Banner, has been added to the Financial Aid EDW. The Financial Aid universe has been enhanced with the addition of a new “Person Matching” class that pulls from the new table.

2.3 Admissions Decisions added to Financial Aid universe

Universe Affected:EDW - Financial Aid Office ad hoc

Case Number:ProdLog #118
