April 16, 2010 LPC Meeting

Attending Members: Sandy Buchner, Dave Johnson, Steve Bylsma, Anita Friend, Mary Lenardson, Angella Breitenbeck, Bob Avery

LPC Workshop:

  1. Vendor contract complete and available on MWEA website
  2. Sandy will contact Stella and make sure there is a table for Perry Brake to sell his book
  3. Angella to contact Perry about accommodations/ if in night before set up dinner if he wants to/ dinner after seminar/ if he would like help with his table during break sessions (Sandy can help with morning and afternoon breaks)
  4. Angella to moderate first track (Perry Brake, Bob Avery)
  5. Amy to moderate managerial track (Perry, Rick, Bruce, Aaron)
  6. Dave to moderate technical track (Mark Bruce, Mark Berthold, Perry, Rick)
  7. Deadlines: May 14, 2010 -Presentations to be sent to Angella () – primary contacts to remind speakers to send presentations by deadline – so far we only have title, bio, and presentation summary information
  8. Angella to bring additional laptop and projector
  9. Sandy will contact MWEA office see if they are going to help with set up, confirm they have a projector and laptop to use as well
  10. Angella will check with John Parmentier to see if he is coming to seminar/John will attend seminar and help with technical details
  11. Sandy will tell Stella the lunch choice for seminar – garlic and rosemary chicken (plated style)
  12. Sandy will tell Stella raffle specifics – each attendee will get X tickets (one per vendor), attendees put one ticket in container on vendor table per vendor, at 3rd break pull names, Sandy will make a form to record raffle winners, Mary will contact vendors and let them know they need to bring a container for raffle tickets and 1 prize for winner
  13. LPC 2010 seminarbrochure is available online at the MWEA website
  14. Amy made changes to survey for hands on training course (on back of seminar survey, maybe email to get additional responses)
  15. Mary will ask vendors for one slide with company name and name of contacts and booth contents – will run slides during registration – Vendors will send slides to Mary, slides will be put on laptop that will be in main room

General Discussion:

  1. OI Analytical looking to put o n training course for CN procedures – maybe partner with someone or do it themselves (would like to work with groups in the area)
  2. DNRE looking to write an ATP for total and available CN procedures with new OI Instrument
  3. What do we do when training survey comes back???

(a)Maybe send training survey to IPP committee to see what their training needs would be

IPP may want to change test topics

  1. Sandy will check with Gary to see if she can go to Committee Chair Retreat in Mt. Pleasant in June
