Throughout the day, Ann will share the many benefits of mindfulness meditation to holistic health and well-being
10.00 -10.30 amWelcome and introduction. We will begin our day with a mindful eating and drinking practice with tea/coffeecranberry & orange scones
10.30 - 10.45am‘Just being’meditation– using the natural resources of your breath, your body to ground you in the present moment
10.45-11. 00amCalming mantra practice – we will explore the powerful use of mantras in helping to quieten our minds and support relaxation
11.00- 11.15amComfort break
11.15 – 11.30amGratitude meditation- personal reflection of the past year
11.30 -11.45 amSquared breathing practice – this is an excellent tool for managing stress
11.45– 12pmWinter Solstice healing white light meditation
12.00 - 12.20 ‘The art of stillness’ – Ted Talk
12.20 – 12.30Silent meditation
12.30 - 1pmCreating quiet in a world full of noise – personal reflection
1.00 - 2pmA mindful lunch – you will develop your skills in mindfulness through the contemplative sensory experience of eating
2 course lunch - warming winter vegetable soup with wholesome granary bread followed by mixed berry crumble with vanilla custard & calming mint tea)
2.00-3pmA restorative and mindful walk in the heart of the Ring of Gullion where you will develop your sensory appreciation of nature and connect with your inner peace.
3.00-3.30 pmReflective practice - developing personal affirmations for the new year ahead
3.40- 4.00pmBody scan - this relaxation exercise will be the perfect way to gently finish your day, bringing the benefits of meditation with you on your journey home ……………
How to pay?
The cost for the day is £60.
You can pay for the retreat by BACS or by cheque.
Why not enjoy the full retreat experience and book B & B at the Slieve Gullion LodgeatTi Chulainnfor an additional £45 or £40 per person sharing.
(please book accommodation directly with the centre).
What to bring?
All you really need is your breath! Wear loose, warm and comfy clothing and walking shoes/boots.
Bring a waterproof coat, a fleece, hat and gloves, a pillow and blanket for your comfort and the body scan
