February 14, 2013 Meeting Minutes

Participants: Greg Schmidt – Chair (Geotest): Steve Bowser (Bowser- Morner); Steve Elliott (Material Testing Consultants); Mike Hart (A2LA); Doug Leonard (L-A-B); Scott McCasland (Atlantic Testing); Dave Savage (CMEC); Robert Uttenweiler (NACLA); Tony Anderson (ACIL SEO)

Apologies: Jim Kuhn (Atlantic Testing); and Jerry Weathers (ACIL)

1.0  Call to order:

Mr. Schmidt called the conference call to order at 2:01 p.m. EST

2.0 Introductions:

Mr. Anderson read the roll call.

3.0  Antitrust Statement:

The members acknowledged they had read and understood their obligations under the statement.

4.0  Review of Minutes of teleconference call meeting 01-10-13:

Mr. Anderson gave a verbal summary of the minutes as some members were not in front of a computer to view the minutes.

Motion to approve: Mr. Elliott

Seconded: Mr. McCasland

Approved unanimously

5.0 Policies and Practices (P2) Conference – Update:

Review actions from last meeting. With one exception all actions have been closed. Mr. Bowser reported that he had contacted Alfred Crawley to attend for the Army Corp of Engineers, but had been referred to a more senior individual in the Corps, a Dr. Joe Kester at Corp headquarters in Washington, DC.

Action: Mr. Bowser to follow up with Mr. Bush to see if he knows Dr. Joe Kester at the Army Corps pf Engineers.

Action: Mr. Anderson to check with Ms. Horan to see if there are any bio’s and photographs still needed for CMET speakers besides a speaker from the Army Corp of Engineers.

Secretaries note: Already actioned.

6.0 Personnel Certification:

6.1 Update Report

As Mr. Weathers was unavailable, Mr. Anderson read his report for inclusion in the minutes. Mr. McCasland commented that he agreed with Mr. Weathers that a business plan should be produced.

7.0 NACLA:

Mr. Uttenweiler said he had nothing new to report and as he would be seeing members at the polices and practices meeting. He said he would try to have caught everything up by that point.

9.0 Next Conference Call: April 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. EDT

Note: There will no teleconference call in March as the CMET Section will be having a face to face meeting at the ACIL Policies & Practices meeting on March 20, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT at the Doubletree Hotel, Crystal City, VA
