Working languages

The official language of the Congress will be Spanish. Therewill be simultaneous interpreting, Spanish-English and vice versa, in the main activities of the scientific program.

Scientific Program

The Scientific Program includes master conferences and conferences on special topics, which will be delivered by invited figures. It also comprises the presentation of oral free topics (arranged in thematic sessions), posters and videos.

Cuban professionals of great prestige will teach pre-congress courses, which will take place in institutions of the National Health System.

Norms for the submission of abstracts

They must be written using 12-point Arial font, single space between lines, 8.5 x 11 sheets and Word processor (6.0 or a newer version).

They cannot exceed 250 words.

Title in the upper space of the page, written in capital letter.

Main author’s full name, postal and e-mail addresses. Full name of the otherauthors, e-mails.

Country of origin.

Name of the institution (optional).

Topic of the paper.

Specify the audiovisual aids required for presentations.

Abstract: title, key words, main author and other authors, objectives, method and conclusions.

The Organizing Committee must be informed of the audiovisual aids required for presentations, in plenty of time.

CDs, DVDs and other mass storage devices that come with the papers must be submitted by speakers at the Audiovisual Aids Office of the Havana International Conference Center, 24 hours before their presentation in the room.

Digital presentations must meet the following requirements:

*It is meant for undergraduate students, who must present a letter duly signed and stamped by the principal, dean or rector of their respective educational center.

Name badge, participation in the opening and closing ceremonies of the Congress, farewell activity and souvenirs

The payment of the registration fee, as well as other payments to be effected in Cuba, must be made in CUC (Cuban Convertible Peso), the official circulating currency in the country. CUCs can be obtained upon arrival in the country at airports, hotels, conference centers, bank agencies and exchangeoffices.

The exchangeable currencies are: Euro, Canadian and American dollars, Sterling Pound, Mexican Peso and Swiss Francs. Theexchange will be made according to the daily exchangerate.

Payments can also be made by credit cards like VISA, Master Card, CABAL and VISA Electron, as long as they are not drawn from an American bank.

FAIR-RELATED EXHIBITION

In line with the Congress, there will be a scientific and commercial exhibition at the Main Lobby of the Havana International Conference Center. This will be an excellent occasion for companies, laboratories, hospitals and specialized firms, from home or abroad, to exhibit and market their equipment, products, drugs and other materials related to the topic of the event.

The price of the interior, assembled, modular stand is110.00CUC per square meter. It covers the whole exhibition period and includes:

Stand assembly with white modular panels of 94.8 X 2.42 m

Participation in all the activities of the Congress

Electricity consumption up to 500 W

Name badges according to the reserved space

Label with the name of the entity

Cleaning of the stand

Protection of the samples after the exhibition timetable

The minimum space to be contracted is 9 square meters (3x3m).

In case you wish to make your own stand design, the price of the unassembled space is 100.00 CUC per square meter. Itcovers the whole exhibition period and includes:
