Job Description

Position Summary

NC MedAssist is expanding! The Development Director, Executive Luncheons will be responsible for leading revenue generation to support the NC MedAssist mission and programming by increasing agency awareness and nurturing a culture of philanthropic support among donors and stakeholders for the Executive Luncheons in the Raleigh and Charlotte markets.

Essential Function/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

·  Using moves management - identify, cultivate, and solicit philanthropic support by developing and maintaining relationships with donor prospects – individuals, foundations, corporations, civic and faith-based organizations and carry out agency fundraising priorities.

·  Recruit, engage, and manage Executive Luncheon Committee volunteers and provide them with leadership and direction in support of the agency’s fundraising efforts.

·  Plan and execute comprehensive strategic plans for both Raleigh and Charlotte Executive Luncheons that will generate budgeted revenue from corporate entities and individuals.

·  Work with Development Assistant to ensure proper and accurate data entry, acknowledgement, recognition, and stewardship of donors.

·  Build working relationships with Greater Raleigh and Charlotte region stakeholders, partners, and key agency personnel to achieve fundraising and awareness goals.

·  Attend and assist in executing Over the Counter Give Away Days across the state of NC.

·  Increase agency awareness and stature within the Greater Raleigh and Charlotte regions by participating in appropriate professional development organizations, committees, boards, and meetings and engage NC MedAssist key staff and Board members in fund development and awareness activities.

·  Serve on the Development Team/Committee and participate in the fund development strategic planning process.

·  Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

·  Provide CDO, CEO and Board members, contacts for donor and stakeholder development opportunities.

Requirements/Qualifications:

·  BS/BA Degree required with minimum of 3 years’ experience in fundraising, sales and/or marketing

·  Knowledge and understanding of the corporate and health community in areas like the Greater Raleigh and Charlotte areas.

·  Knowledge of fund development relations and demonstrated ability to engage executive/community leaders.

·  Successful event fundraising experience.

·  Excellent planning, organizational and communication skills.

·  Self-motivated and goal driven. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

·  Willingness to travel within the Greater Raleigh and Charlotte regions and other counties monthly as determined.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 based on experience and track record for success.
