THE 2016 LEHIGH VALLEY AMATEUR MEDAL PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP IS A MAJOR AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF TOURNAMENT FOR LEHIGH VALLEY AMATEUR GOLFERS WITH A USGA HANDICAP INDEX OF TWELVE (12) OR LESS.
PURSE: $4,000 (gift certificates), based on a field of 65 players.
APPLICATION FOR ENTRY
FEE: $150. Includes greens fees, carts, lunch (both days), practice balls, prizes, tips, and refreshments.
FORMAT: 36 holes, stroke play, maximum of 70 golfers. Players will be paired in threesomes.
Friday, June 17: 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Opening round. .
Saturday, June 18: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Final round Pairings based on reverse order of first round scores.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS:
1. FORMAT: 36 holes, stroke play, maximum of 70 golfers. Players will be paired in threesomes.
Friday, June 17: Opening round. Saturday, June 18: Final round.
2. PLAYING CONDITIONS: Subject to normal climactic conditions: Championship tees.
3. PRIZES: Championship Flight: Top 20-to-25 places. Two competitive flights if more than 50 entries are received.
4. PIN POSITIONS: Pin positions determined daily by the Woodstone CC PGA Golf Professional staff on a 6-6-6 basis.
5. RULES COMMITTEE: The 2016 Lehigh Valley Amateur Medal Play Championship will be played under official 2016 USGA rules, and all applicable local rules as interpreted by the Woodstone Country Club PGA Golf Professional staff. The GALV and the Woodstone Country Club PGA Golf Professional staff will be the rules committee of the tournament, and will make any necessary rulings throughout the tournament. All tournament rulings are final.
6. FEES: $150 entrance fee; includes greens fees, carts, lunch (both days), practice balls, prizes, tips, and refreshments.
7. PURSE: $4,000 (gift certificates), based on a full field of 65 players.
8. APPLICATION REVIEW: If more than 70 entries are received, the application preference order is as follows: past tournament champions, top-50 players on the previous year’s Lehigh Valley Player of the Year list, order of handicap.
9. 2016 LEHIGH VALLEY AMATEUR MEDAL PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP HONORS: The winner of the 2016 Lehigh Valley Amateur Medal Play Championship will be declared the medal play amateur golf champion of the greater Lehigh Valley, PA region for 2016.
10. STARTING TIMES: Available beginning Wednesday, June 15, 2016 by e-mail, and/or posted online at www.golfgalv.com. For the second round, the times will be posted e-mailed, posted online, and/or be available from GALV officials at 610-437-4982,.
11. THREESOME PAIRINGS: First round - blind draw. Second round - by the reverse order (highest to lowest) of the first round scores. Ties in the first round scores will be broken (for the purpose of establishing the second round times) in the order the tied players registered their first round scores.
NOTE: The Golf Association of the Lehigh Valley (GALV) and it’s committees, reserves the right to verify handicaps, addresses, and amateur status of applicants as defined by the United States Golf Association (USGA). All applications for entrance to GALV tournaments are subject to acceptance by the tournament committee. The tournament committee reserves the right to limit entries, adjust tournament dates, times, competitive formats, and expenditures, and other tournament procedures to adjust to conditions prevailing at the time of the tournament. Purse amounts are predicated on the estimated number of players in the field that are listed in this tournament application. If less players play than estimated for this tournament, purse amounts will be reduced by a similar or accelerated percentage. All applicants agree to abide by the rules of golf as defined by the USGA, local tournament rules set forth by the GALV, and tournament rulings of the GALV. Applicants to this and any GALV tournament hereby release the GALV, its officers, and committee members from any and all liability for any event or consequence whatsoever in any way arising out of or relating to the applicants entry or participation in this tournament; with the sole and singular exception of liability arising out of bad faith or willful misconduct by the GALV. Entrance fees are non-refundable; except due to 7 days tournament withdrawal notice to the GALV; or cancellation of play due to severe weather conditions, in which case applicable greens fees will be refunded subject to the tournament host golf club's refund policy.

5. waiver page: Review the waiver. Click on "I agree to the above waiver", click “Next”
6. fill out the membership form, click “Next”, continue with the tournament registration process.
7. register to play in tournaments.
