HOLIDAY TASK for Std VI
Note :
1. The “Holiday task” from all the children are to be collected on the re-opening day (4.6.2012) in the form of binded books / filed report.
2. Every student has to give the details of the collection of the matter under the title “Bibiliography” in the last page. ( Information collected either from net / books / magazines / news papers or on their own manually etc. ).
3. Grading is to be given in the Progress Reports for this Holiday Task.
4. All the Principals should convey the information about the holiday task for both Primary and High school students through repeated announcements in the assembly and displaying the topic names in the notice board. For Primary students, even through diaries also the information is to be given.
Instructions for the students to complete the Holiday Task :
Student should write the matter related to the topic given in their own hand writing in an A4 sheet.
Internet printouts and typed material should be avoided.
Students are asked to visit the places related to the given topics where ever necessary.
Specimen should contain introduction, causes, incidents, solutions, valuable suggestions to overcome every incident, questionnaire, media support like news paper cutting, internet browsing messages along with photographs to support the topic given.
Submit the final copy with spiral bind or with a thick chart paper neatly for the best
performance.
VI CLASS: ( Any 2 topics)
- BEAUTIFUL PLACES IN ANDHRA PRADESH- Paste the pictures of beautiful places in AP and try to write importance of those places and write about your favourite place that you visited recently.
- COMPUTER IS MY GOOD FRIEND–Paste the pictures of computer and prepare a questionnaire with ten questions based on the importance of the computer. Visit to the nearby internet centre to know how it is useful to everyone in practical.
- GOOD MANNERS–Paste the pictures of good manners and narrate a story based on good mannersthat you have come across in your daily life.
- ROAD SAFETY– Paste all the pictures of traffic signals. Write all the traffic rules and symbols that you follow on your way to school from home. Write about the Road Safety week and prepare a questionnaire with five questions related to Road safety.

1.FAMOUS INDIANS- Write a bio data on the famous Indians in different fields and paste the pictures of them. Write a questionnaire with ten questions, if you get an opportunity to meet any one of them.
2.FAMOUS SPORTSPERSON OF TODAY- Write about the sports and games, improvement in the recent years. Collect the information of the different sports stars in India who brought credits to India by their excellent performance.
3.METRO WATER SUPPLY- Visit nearby metro water supply office and write a note on the functioning areas of the board. Also write on Rain water harvesting and few tips for future generation to save water.
4.IMPORTANCE OF SCHOOL EDUCATION- Write about the importance of the school education in moulding thecharacter of a students. Have a campus tour of your school and write how your school imparts quality education. Prepare a questionnaire with ten questions and collect the answers from your friends for group discussion.

2. ONLINE INFORMATION: Write each area in brief about the online information through internet and how it gives valuable information to us. Cover the areas like news, online bookings, online shopping, trading, banking, education etc. Prepare a questionnaire with ten questions to collect the answers from different persons for the group discussion based on online.
3. ROBOTS CULTURE:Write about the robot culture how it influences the human in the different parts of the world. Write few lines about the preparation of robot classes in India. Prepare a questionnaire with ten questions for the discussion on merits and demerits of robot culture.
4. EDUCATIONAL WEBSITES: Collect and summarize the useful and relevant educational websites according to subject wise. Take few sample printouts from the nearby net centre. Prepare a questionnaire with ten questions based on the educational websites and its uses to the students.
