1. Executive Summary
The community level orientation program was organized in three different venue namely Bharatpur, Mugling and Gajuri with objectives to share the current world scenario and national scenario of the RTA amongst the stakeholders of road safety in the district, to ascertain the ongoing activities of the different stakeholders and identify the various stakeholder working in road safety and finally to share the undertaking of the organization and search common ground to liaise with them on implementation of activities. The program was organized on 5th July at Bharatpur and 6th July at Mugling and Gajuri with the cooperation of NRCS chapter and sub chapters.
The program organized in the each three venues saw participation of various stakeholders of road safety. A total of 105 participants, there were participants from Health Service Providers, Representative from army and police, Transport Entrepreneur, transport worker, Media and Press, Representative from NRCS, Representative from local organization and youth clubs.
The programs were similar in conduction and followed a certain format. The first session consisted of inauguration and expression of viewpoints of the guest including the chief guest while the second session comprised of technical presentation and discussion and finally closing of the program with sharing of the undertaking of the organization.
The program brought into light the various aspect of Road safety each from the perspectives of the different stakeholders to broaden the understanding of each of the stakeholder and plan better the various activities of the organization. The program brought all the stakeholders of road safety in community level together and facilitated discussion between them providing an impetus to bring about coordinated efforts to act for Road Safety in the community. The program also helped us introduced us as an organization working on Road Safety and as a result the coordination mechanism will be eased when we implement our program in the community level.
