CALL OUT FORFOR ARTISTS AND MAKERS IN NORTH YORKSHIRE AND BEYOND

Arts development agency, Chrysalis Arts, is inviting artists and makers to apply for North Yorkshire Open Studios 2017.

North Yorkshire Open Studios enables artists and makers to open their studios, meet, promote and sell their work direct to the public, over the first two weekends in June. The NYOS eventenables artists to sell work, make new contacts, increase their profile and network with other artists.

The event is in its twelfth year and has grown incrementally to become one of the major events in North Yorkshire’s cultural calendar, as well as one of the North’s most prestigious open studios event.

The full North Yorkshire Open Studios event won’t be happening in 2016, in order to allow time to develop and introduce a number of changes designed to up the profile, ambition and reach of the event.

NYOS 2017 will happen over the weekends 3/4 and 10/11 June 2017 and it is this event that the application process is open for.

Project manager for North Yorkshire Open Studios, France-Leigh, says, “We have a wealth of artistic talent in North Yorkshire, and NYOS does a great job showcasing new contemporary art to the public. The application process is straight-forward and we’re keen to have new artists and recent graduates apply”.

Artists who don’t have their own studio or venue can still apply, Chrysalis Arts will help find an alternative space to share and can offer support and advice on applying.

The deadline for applications is 30th June. For more information, and for the application pack, contact France-Leigh on / 01756 748529.
