Exporting data

The Data Exchange reports allow you to export data from visualisations such as graphs and pie charts, to excel, PDF or as an image.

Data exported to excel will save as an .xlsx file.

ITEM / DESCRIPTION
/ Select the Camera icon to add an item to the snapshot library.
/ Select the Open snapshot library to select pictures to use in PowerPoint style presentations.
/ Select the Open exploration menu item which will take you to the chart or table you are viewing. Here you can change the appearance and presentation of the chart or table.
/ Select the Export as an imageor to PDFbutton to export the image.
/ Select the Exportdata button to export the story to Excel.

Access the required report and select the visualisation that you wish to export.

Right click on the selected image and an options pop up box will display.

Select Export data and a pop up box will display with the following export options:

  1. Export as an image
  2. Export to PDF
  3. Export data

Exporting data as an image

When Export as an image is selected from the options pop up box, the Image settings pop up box will display.

You can leave the image in its current setting or select to change the settings.

The Custom settings will display.

Change the settings as required and select.

You can also select the type of file format that you would like the image to be.

At theType of file field, select the drop down arrow and the optionsof Jpeg and Png will display.

Select.

Select the Click here to download your data filehyperlink that displays in the Image settings pop up box (Figure 7).

Select the options required for the download.

If required, select to stop the download.

  1. When is selected, the below Internet Explorer Security pop up box will display.

Select to continue the download.

  1. When is selected, the below “Open” options become available (Figure 10):

  1. When is selected, the below Internet Explorer Security pop up box will display.

Select to continue the download.

  1. When is selected your File explorer will display with the file saved in the Downloads folder (Figure 12):

Once opened or saved, the image will display as below.

  1. When is selected the View Downloads – Internet Explorer pop up box displays with your download included:

Exporting data to PDF

When Export as a PDF is selected from the options pop up box, the PDF settings pop up box will display.

Select the drop down arrow to change the Paper size and Orientation fields. Use the radio buttons to change the Aspect ratio options.

Select the Click here to download your data filehyperlink that displays in the PDF settings pop up box (Figure 16):

Select the options required for the download.

If required, select to stop the download.

  1. When is selected, the PDF screen will display.

Exporting data to Excel

Select from the options pop up box, and the Export complete pop up box will display.

Select the options required for the download (Figure 25).

If required, select to stop the download.
