CM distributes 10000 gas kits of Pradhanmantri Ujjawala

Yojana to Surat rural women

Gandhinagar, Thursday: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani has begun the public welfare scheme to distribute gas connections to 10000 women of Surat rural area as a part of Pradhanmantri Ujjawala Yojana. He said that Gujarat is contributing in the commitment of our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi to provide 5 crore gas connections within 5 years to women from poor families with a view to make them disease free from the smoke. This government is always concerning about village, poor, dalit and deprived people. These categories have first right for natural resources. This government is committed with the culture of inclusive growth and collective efforts. Mr. Rupani expressed his commitment to inspire people with distributing gas kit, own housing, LED bulbs under Ujala Yojana, Health assistance etc.

Mr. Rupani briefed people about pro-poor decisions made by the state government such as health insurance worth Rs. 2 lakh to poor families with MA Vatsalya Cards and government has begun Generic Medicine Stores to provide expensive medicines at cheaper rates to poor families. He said that we will provide 5 lakh housing to rural poor people as a part of Affordable Housing. We will provide employment opportunities to 1 lakh youth belongs to poor families to make them economically competent. We have given employment to 1.5 lakh people by organizing mega job fair, he added.

Mr. Rupani briefed people about to provide meals at just Rs. 10 to labour people as a part of Maa Annapurna Yojana. On the occasion state Revenue and Education Minister Mr. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama and Surat District Collector Mr. Mahendra Patel gave occasional speeches.

On the occasion Minister of State for Education Department Mr. Nanubhai Vanani, Parliamentary secretary Mr. Purneshbhai Modi, Mayor Mrs. Asmitaben Shiroya, MP Mrs. Darshanaben Jardosh, Mr. C. R. Patil, Mr. Prabhubhai Vasava, Surat District Panchayat President, MLAs, dignitaries, office-bearers and local people in huge number were remained present.
