ANNEXB
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
GENERAL CONDITIONS
- The organiser is required to check on availability of rooms at least 4 weeks before the event.
- StateCourts may grant or refuse any application for use of the facilities without giving any reasons.
- StateCourts reserves the right to cancel or terminate any booking.
- No rental of rooms beyond 9.00pm.
- Court rooms are not available for rental during office hours except during court hearing breaks as follows:
- Court Hearing Break Period : 9.00am – 6.00pm
- StateCourts shall not be responsible for any expenses, claims or demands in the event of any accidents occurring to any persons engaged in connection with the use of the facilities.
PAYMENT TERMS & PROCESS
- For inter-ministries payment, please raise Journal to the following State Courts Account within 30 calendar days from the date of event:

- For other users, payment should be made to “Registrar, State Courts” via a crossed cheque to the following address within 30 calendar days from the date of event (Note: for events held consecutively over a continuous period, payment will be made within 30 calendar days from the end of each month):

- Please note 8.5% interest rate per annum will be imposed for late payment. Please also note that hours booked should include setup and dismantle period.
- Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be charged separately.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- Any cancellation must be made in writing.
EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
- StateCourts is not responsible for the security of any items brought in by the Organiser for its events.
- StateCourts will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property belonging to the Organiser.
- The Organiser is required to purchase their own insurance to cover against any losses or damage brought upon or sustained in the building. Insurances should include but not limited to public liability insurance and industrial all risk amongst others.
OTHER CONDITIONS
- All property belonging to the Organiser, including posters must be removed from the facilities immediately after use.
- No banners, posters and flyers may be displayed at the StateCourts Building except with the approval of the StateCourts.
- Stationery and supplies are not provided by StateCourts.
- The Organiser is responsible for the use (and return) of all rented furniture & equipment (e.g. chairs, tables and microphone) and the tidiness of the facilities during the period of use.
- If any of rented equipment is lost/stolen/damaged, replacement cost will be applied accordingly.
- The Organiser is required to notify the StateCourts, at the time of booking, of any event that involves the serving of food and refreshment.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- The Organiser shall ensure that:
a. no food and drinks are to be consumed along corridors. If refreshments are required, it should be provided at the Atrium. Rental charges should apply accordingly.
b. naked flame or smoke generating device of any kind shall not be used during the event
c. electrical apparatus or any other fittings that may cause danger or damage to the premises are not used. The Organiser undertakes to exercise reasonable care and to take necessary precautions to prevent any trip of the electrical supply. They also need to provide a separate ELCB in order to avoid any disruption.
REFUSAL OF ENTRY
- The StateCourts reserves the right to refuse entry to or to immediately eject from the StateCourts premises any person whose presence is in the opinion of the StateCourts undesirable and/or whose conduct is objectionable, disorderly or disruptive or in any violation of any laws.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
- The Organiser is advised to ensure sufficient awareness of the emergency evacuation routes for the event. The emergency evacuation route will be forwarded to Organiser upon confirmation of booking.
- All corridors, aisles and means of exit shall be kept clear.
PARKING FACILITIES FOR GUESTS
- Carpark is available on Saturday only at $8 per entry (before GST).
SECURITY PRECAUTIONS
- The Organiser should note that all visitors will be screened at the security check points before entry into the StateCourts.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING
- The Organiser is required to fill in the Approval for Use of Video Equipment Formand submit it to StateCourts at least 14 working days before the actual event.
