POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: / Recruitment and Retention Specialist
Job Duties: / Responsible for advising students on academic programs, and college academic policies and procedures. Works directly with students, ensuring their academic success by developing, implementing and monitoring student academic action plans. Conducts and coordinates workshops (related to achieving student success) for faculty, staff and students. Reviews, evaluates and advises on the improvement of student processes and programs. Responsible for center orientation sessions and other duties as assigned. Maintains an environment of academic and professional excellence to aid in student retention and degree completion. A positive service oriented work ethic is a must. Works independently as well as within a team environment in the Student Success Center to promote and coordinate the Student – Teacher Advisement and Retention (STAR) initiative. Responsible for coordinating programs that increase student success. The candidate supports the goals of the STAR initiative to increase student retention and graduation rates, improve student engagement, increase teacher preparation and increase enrollment in academic programs.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: / Bachelor’s degree in a related Administrative, Business, Liberal Arts, or Social Science discipline with six months to one year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

WORK SCHEDULE: / Must be able to work, Monday thru Friday.
SALARY: / Salary is commensurate with education and experience
