  1. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team (individual team and wider team across localities) and to contribute to its development, complementing the ethos and aims of the individual Children’s Centre and the overall Children’s Centre vision.
  2. Ability to effectively communicate with both written and verbal skills
  3. Ability to make assessment of needs , support and case hold at Level 2
  4. Good organisational skills, an ability to prioritise work and manage your own working time efficiently
  1. Good working skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software to be able to collate and analyse data, produce reports, develop publication materials etc
  2. Maintain accurate, factual records in order to compose and deliver succinct, informative reports to a range of professionals through core groups, conferences etc

  1. An understanding of the needs of vulnerable children, their carers and the communities in which they live

Experience

  1. Experience of working with young children especially 0-5 years and parents
  2. Experience of working with families in their own homes and in the community
  3. Experience of attending Child protection meetings and offering support at level 2,3 and 4
  4. Experience of assessment, planning and reviews to meet the needs of families and children
  5. Experience of working with other professionals and agencies with good outcomes
  1. Experience of mentoring and supporting volunteers
  1. Experience of leading planning and delivering groups to children and families
  1. Experience of evaluating outcomes, making recommendations for further service delivery
  1. Recent experience of at least 6 months of working within a Children’s Centre

Qualifications

  1. Relevant, recognised Level 3 qualification for example Child Care or Child Social Care
