Section 5 - SC 32/WG 2 Other Resolutions
Resolution WG 2 / 13: Open Forum

It is expected that a registration fee will be charged. Sponsors may be invited. In each case an informal joint meeting will be held with TC37 and TC184 SC4 after the conclusion of the Open Forum.
Resolution WG 2 / 14: PAS Submission
SC 32/WG 02 strongly recommends that SC32 Secretariat appoint Hajime Horiuchi as a Convener for the ballot resolution group(BRG) of Common Warehouse Metamodel (CWM) submitted by Object Management Group (OMG) as a PAS and also appoint Masao Okabe as a Convener for BRG of the expected PAS submission of Ontology Definition Metamodel (ODM) by OMG.
Resolution WG 2 / 15: Contribution to Resolution 34 and 35, JTC1 N8804
SC 32/WG 02 will make a contribution to the report for the JTC 1 2008 Plenary Meeting, produced in accordance with Resolution 34 and Resolution 35 related to the Web Services Registry. (ISO/IEC JTC 1 N8804 Resolutions adopted at the 22nd Meeting of ISO/IEC JTC1, 8-13 October 2007 in Australia.) Hajime Horiuchi is responsible for sending a contribution to Web service study group.
Resolution WG 2 / 16: Response to JTC1 Goald Coast Reslltuion #33 – IT Vocabulary Project
SC 32/WG 02 requests that SC32 adopt the following position and forward it to the JTC1 Vocabulary Maintenance Team:
In response to JTC1 Gold Coast Resolution #33, JTC1/Sc32 requests that:
1) JTC1 make all Parts of ISO/IEC 2382 publicly available standards.
2) Instruct those responsible for the maintenance of ISO/IEC 2382 not to change or amend the existing definitions and associated terms (English/French) for the concepts defined in the existing first 35 Parts of ISO/IEC 2382, e.g., reformatting definitions according to the requirements of ISO 10241 is acceptable, changing the meaning of the term (representing a concept) is not acceptable.
A prime reason here is that many of the definition/term pairs in ISO/IEC 2382 are used in other ISO/IEC and ISO standards “as is” as well as in the national standards of JTC1 P-members . Thus any change to the existing definitions and for the concepts defined in ISO/IEC 2382 will have a very disruptive cascade effect on existing international and national standards developed during the past ten years and in widespread use.
A secondary reason is that any suggested change in a definition/term pair (in English and/or French) might indicate that those advocating a change most likely have a different concept in mind from that originally defined in (a part of) ISO/IEC 2382.
