Happy Friday to all,Wow, September went by really fast!
The first month of school is behind us and we have settled into a great routine! I am impressed with how our students have adjusted to new schedules, staff and classmates. Millicoma is off to a great start!
Thank you to all who attended our Back to School Night this month. We were pleased to see so many families in attendance. We hope to see you back again at our Parent Teacher Conferences on the 11th and 12th of October. This is a great time to speak with your child’s teacher and get a check in on how the year is going. These days are also early release days so school will be out at 12:43. No school on October 13th for state wide teacher in service day.
Attendance is a big focus this year for Coos Bay Public Schools. Students succeed better when they are in regular attendance. Ann Rodriguez is our attendance advocate this year and will be helping our office track regular attendance. Please remember to call our office to notify us if your student is absent.
Our fundraiser kicks off this week and will run until the 11th of October. This is a major source of funding for field trips and extra activities for our students so we encourage all students to participate. Packets are coming home with each child today.
If you are interested in getting more involved at Millicoma we have a very active PTSA group and we need parents on our Site Council committee. Stop by the office and let us know you are interested and we will lead you in the right direction, or you can follow the PTSA Facebook page at Millicoma Mustangs PTSA.
Thank you for your support in starting our school year off well! It’s good to be a Mustang!
