Job Title:Community Fundraiser

Location:Ardenham Court, Aylesbury

Reports to:Finance Manager

Hours: 18.5– 22.5 hours/week: flexible

Salary: £11,690 - £14,218

Job Aim

To ensure that funds are raised for Carers Bucks in particular from the local communities in Buckinghamshire.

Main Duties

Develop and implement a successful fundraising programme and work towards agreed targets.

Identify potential donors and build relationships with them to encourage them to support Carers Bucks.

Keep accurate records of fundraising activities, maintain a donor data base and ensure that all those who make donations are thanked promptly.

With the Volunteer Co-ordinator, recruit volunteer fundraisers in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.

Initiate and develop productive relationships with target audiences in order to recruit new donors and supporter groups.

Research and develop partnerships with other organisations which could be supportive of Carers Bucks.

Ensure that local fundraising events, activities and collections run effectively and are well planned, marketed and supported.

Work with colleaguesto ensure that Carers Bucks has a high profile within the community in order to promote fundraising.

Provide support and marketing for fundraising events and activities organised by Carers Bucks and outside supporters.

Attend local fundraising activities and events.

Provide regular reports on fundraising activity.

Work with the Finance Manager to ensure that accurate and up to date financial records are maintained for fundraising.

Give talks and presentations to local organisations and support other members of staff to do the same.

Work with local media to promote positive coverage of Carers Bucks programmes and fundraising activities.

Any other duties as reasonably required by Carers Bucks.

Member of the Institute of Fundraising.D

Good general level of IT skillsincluding word processing, spread sheets

email and data recording.E

Ability to use social media to promote / support fundraising.E

Car owner / driver.E

Able to plan and organise activities and campaigns, including marketing/PR.E

Knowledge of fundraising methodology including committed giving techniques,
