Message
On Friday, December 2, we had our Roadrunner Recognition Assembly, to recognize Students of the Month for November. Throughout November, we focused on the characteristic of Fairness, and our Transitional Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students were recognized as Students of the Month. (Our Four-Year-Old Preschool students will begin attending these monthly assemblies in January.) The following students received a Student of the Month Certificate, along with a certificate and coupon from Sizzler Restaurant: Zoe Romero Estudillo (Mrs. Peak’s Transitional Kindergarten Class), Valeria Mondragón (Mrs. Kringel’s Kindergarten Class), Darcy Ornelaz and Jairo Argueta (Ms. Robinson’s Kindergarten Class), Preston Prezler and Lily Vasquez (Mrs. Hawkins’ First Grade Class), David Ramirez Orellana and MariaJosé Medina (Mrs. Nutter’s First Grade Class), Jesse Lopez and Aby Guzman (Mrs. Sassman’s Second Grade Class), Roselyn Chavez and Noah Campbell (Mrs. Spence’s Second Grade Class), Cristofer Moreno and Daisy Mendoza (Mrs. Fralick’s Third Grade Class), Gloria Mondragón (Mrs. Heberle’s Class), Aileen Nolasco and Alejandro Martinez (Mrs. Mulligan’s Third Grade Class), Easter Zamora and Andrew Ramos Sanchez (Mr. Rae’s Fourth Grade Class), Nancy Perez (Ms. Spencer’s Third/Fourth/Fifth Grade Class), Alexis Vazquez and Jayline Alvarez (Mrs. Lucas’ Fourth/Fifth Grade Class), Ian Birks and Monica Angel (Ms. Hart’s Fifth Grade Class), and Sebastian Guzman, Noah Campbell, Ytzel Hurtado Beltran, Julie Pancan and Ashley Cardona (Rock Creek Extension of the Boys & Girls Club).
The characteristic on which we are focused during December is Gratitude, and we have a great deal for which to be thankful! Parents, community volunteers, and all school staff work together as a team to provide the very best instruction and support for our students. I am very appreciative of each member of the Rock Creek community!

Holiday Canned Food
Collection
This is the time of year that we start thinking how thankful we are for our family, friends, our health and the important things in life. This also is a time to start to start thinking of families that needs support for the holidays. Rock Creek Elementary is once again collecting canned goods and toys to help families through the holidays. If everyone could bring in canned goods we will fill up our barrel. Let’s see how many barrels we can fill. We can make this our best year ever!
