GRADUATING STUDENTS
1. What are your current career goals and objectives? What type or types of position are you interested in? Do you know what type of company you would like to work for?
2. What was/is your college major? Are you planning to pursue a career directly related to your major? If not, why not?
3. Did you earn any academic honors or awards? Did you graduate with honors? Please describe in detail each award, what activity you engaged in to win the award, how competitive the award was and when you received it.
4. What is your overall GPA? Your major GPA? Were you on the Dean's List any semesters?
5. Did you play competitive sports, either with your college or through some other organization? What sport and for how long? Any leadership positions such as Team Captain or Assistant to the Coach? Did you win any athletic honors or awards?
6. Did you participate in any community service, college service or volunteer programs? What programs? When? Any honors or awards for these efforts?
7. What clubs, associations, fraternities or sororities do you belong to? Any leadership roles within these organizations? Any special events or projects you've managed?
8. Please provide a list of courses you completed that were (1) part of your major curriculum and/or (2) related to the type of position you are currently seeking.
9. Did you write a senior thesis or honors thesis? For what class? What was the topic? What grade did you receive?
10. Did you engage in any research projects, either as part of a class or through independent study? What were you researching? What were your results? Did you write a formal paper or present your research findings? To whom did you present? Was your research published?
11. Please list all of your computer skills - hardware, software, operating systems, network protocols, etc. Indicate whether you are familiar or proficient with each software program. Are you Internet and email proficient?
12. Do you speak, read or write any foreign languages? What is your level of fluency? Have you traveled or lived abroad? Where and for how long? Have you participated in any international student exchange programs?
13. Provide a detailed listing of all of your employment experience including employers, job titles, dates of employment, locations and your specific responsibilities. Include ALL work experience.
14. Can you highlight any notable achievements from any of your positions? Any specific accomplishments, special projects or special events?
15. Can you provide a list of the skills you developed in each position? How do these skills relate to your current career objectives?
16. Have you ever received any honors or awards from an employer? If so, for what reason, what was the name of the award and when did you receive it?
17. Do you have any internship experience? What about a coop student program or externship? Provide name of employing organization, your title, dates of employment, your responsibilities, any special projects or any accomplishments.
18. Have you attended any on-campus career days? Have you interviewed with any companies? For what types of positions?
19. Have you received any offers of employment that you have not accepted? Why not? Was it the position, the company, the location, the salary or some other factor?
20. Can you identify any professional or personal characteristics that distinguish you from other graduating students? Why would a company be interested in YOU?
