Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Annex XVII / Directive 2005/69/EC amending Directive 76/769/EEC required the MS to apply bans from 01.01.2010.
These Directives were repealed by REACH, which contains the same bans which are listed below
1.extender oils shall not be placed on the market, or used for the production of tyres or parts of tyres if they contain:
- more than 1 mg/kg (0,0001 % by weight) BaP, or,
- more than 10 mg/kg (0,001 % by weight) of the sum of all listed PAHs.
2. tyres and treads for retreading manufactured after 01.01.2010 shall not be placed on the market if they contain extender oils exceeding the limits indicated in paragraph
3. derogations for retreaded tyres / X
