This is a descriptive narrative of the 7 maps that illustrate the percentages of students whose First Languages is Not English (FLNE) by town in Massachusetts public schools during the 2005-2006 school year.
FLNE percentages do not include data from charter schools, private schools, vocational schools, regional schools, and county agricultural schools.
All maps are based on source data from the Massachusetts Department of Education, as prepared by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Office of Multicultural Health.
Geographic boundaries provided by the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, MassGIS, and Geographic Data Technology, Inc.
