Video Try-out requirements
Details: Bucknell Cheerleading will allow freshmen and transfer students to tryout through taped tryout submissions.
All videos must be received by Sat May 19th, to be considered for Football Cheerleading.

Introduction:Do a brief introduction on the tape. Include your name, city and state, and cheer or gymnastics experience. Describe yourself as a stunter in two adjectives. Why do you want to cheer in college and what qualities do you have to offer the team?10pts
Cheer:Complete a chant (sideline) of your choice as if you were at a game.
Dance: Females only: A short dance segment of your choice. Should be moderate to
advanced in difficulty, incorporating fast motion sequences. Minimum: 3-4 eight counts
long. (a segment of group dance please make us aware of which one you are)
Toe Touch: Required, may also do a double jump for +3 points if no gymnastics skills
Group stunt difficulty:(flyers + 2 for full down)
Ext = 2, ½ ext=4
Lib. =6, Aero or stretch=8
360 or invert to ext=10
Coed Stunt Difficulty:
Chair- Walk-in 2 Toss 4
Hands- Walk-in 6 Toss Hands 8
Lib- 10
Tumbling:
Tumbling is not required, but does give you additional points
Standing- BHS=3pts, BT=5pts
Running- RO BHS= 2pts, RO BHS Series=3pts, RO BHS BT=4 pts, RO BHS Layout or Full=5pts
Spirit & Appearance: You are trying out for college cheerleading, not an all-star group
or high school team. Extreme over exaggeration of motions or facials is not desired. Judging on-Personality & Enthusiasm, Projection, Athleticism, Effectiveness, CollegeAppearance
Letter of Recommendation: 2 Letters of recommendation from a teacher or coach showcasing dedication, work ethic and time management

Submit a DVD. After you mail your video, please email me ( ) so I know that is on the way. I don't expect professional quality; mom's home video isfine. (I really enjoyed seeing falls with good catching and spotting and then seeing thestunt hit in one of my current squad member’s video. Good spotting is very important onour team!)

We are sorry that you are unavailable to attend the uniform fitting appointment. The following measurements are needed to determine your sizes. Please have one person such as your coach or a seamstress take your measurements using the guidelines listed. Please be as accurate as possible. Varsity will NOT be responsible for improper fit due to inaccuracy of measurements. If you fall in between sizes, we will automatically go to the next size up.
