On how to adjust to new competition
“Our competition is fantastic with [Executive Vice President of Football Operations/General Manager] John Elway and [Head] Coach [John] Fox. They have done a great job getting talent out here. You can never get complacent or comfortable because someone could take your spot. We have a lot of depth so it keeps us on our toes and at the same time it teaches us how to compete and help out one another. It teaches us how to actually be a coach and get coached.”
On how he prepares differently each week
“Every week you should be prepared and every week you should always do what you can to prepare. As a defense, you should know where you fit in the run game. As a secondary and as a linebacker, contest all throws and cheat over the top and keep doing what you do best. Whoever we are playing, all we can do is just know our system and know where we are on field and just keep making plays. Also, we need to understand situational football down to distance. That is just Football 101, and each and every week is going to be the same. Right now, the main thing is conditioning and just getting ourselves ready to play every game. We played week like 15 snaps so now we are going to play something like two quarters so now we are getting back in the mode again. Especially for me, I haven’t played since November so I have to make sure I keep my conditioning up and I keep playing hard and going fast.”

“I actually saw it today and it was very funny. They played the soundtrack out here and I was very surprised with Peyton Manning’s rap skills. I was very excited for him.”

“That was very funny. I was laughing so hard I couldn’t even pay attention after a while. It’s good that he was sharing the love because our offense works very hard so they deserve it. For them to get that exposure, it’s great for all of them.”
