Chair fast-adds (April 2014)

6.31.1.1

a)

official communications by ruling executive bodies, heads of state, heads of government, ruling executive bodies, heads of international bodies, or governors of dependent or occupied territories (e.g., a message to a legislature, a proclamation, an executive order other than one covered by 6.29.1.2–6.29.1.5)

[Reason: Consistency, ambiguity. The list sequence makes it seem as though all these entities are single persons acting as corporate bodies. Just re-arranging the list as indicated is a help. What would be better would be Glossary definitions of such terms, including "head of state", etc. Notified by Italian translation team]

VesicularAn emulsion on microfilm and microfiche consisting of one or more light-sensitive layers of diazonium salts in a polyester thermoplastic base that decompose on exposure to produce nitrogen bubbles (vesicles) that form the latent image, which becomes visible and fixed when heated and allowed to cool. Vesicular images are commonly blue or beige in color. They do not appear to have much contrast (very high density) until projected in a microform reader.

[Reason: Ambiguity: density and contrast are not properly associated, and density is irrelevant to the usage of the term]
