  • Number of the alumni cheerleaders allowed on the field for next homecoming: Ryan is not sure yet
  • The Board requested that all alumni cheerleaders be able to cheer both halves of the Homecoming game
  • Dave and the rest of the Board worked with a print out of the stadium, making possible scenarios of where the alumni cheerleaders can fit in
  • Ryan suggested to have the alumni cheerleaders at many various locations - not just on the field: suites, gates, concourse prior to the game
  • Time allotted per "activity" on field
  • Numbers of recruits on field and brought to seating in stands - approx. 600

-Ryan: We are trying to create a "Spirit Department"

  • Ryan: He is the person who creates the "scripts"
  • Ryan has asked Pam to engage the alumni cheerleaders
  • Board suggested to Ryan that the alumni cheerleaders become part of the scripted show
  1. Stunting

- Ryan explained that the event management side is key on wanting all safety

- Ryan suggested in order to coordinate cheers and stunts the alumni cheerleaders come out to a practice the week prior to the Homecoming game

- Dave explained to Ryan the importance of the alumni stunts to the fans- deleted

- Waivers will be signed by all participants

4. Cheers and chants

- Cheers around the stadium in small groups was offered and Ryan was open to this

- Rah-Rah Locomotive with coordination and scripting with entire spirit people (present cheerleaders, dance, alumni cheerleaders) suggested

- Ryan to take a list of cheer/script ideas to the group of decision makers and see what he can get to build on

  • Doing a cheer with Pam's cheerleaders
  • Learn the Blues Brothers Dance
  • Other "show" dance and cheers

- Holly asked about how many cheers we can do per half/per quarter

  • Combined
  • Single

4. Uniforms

- Board expressed deep desire to keep traditional uniforms

- AD has not come to conclusion on how uniforms are to be resolved

- Ryan suggested that the more the alumni cheerleaders show desire to be uniform

in cheers and coordinate a polished look of our uniforms, the more the AD will give

back

- Board presented ideas to Ryan that we would like to purchase coordinating poms,

megaphones and signs

5. Room/Lockers for Storage/Lunch Location

- Ryan felt we could possibly have access to some storage space the week of the game. That way we could at least drop off megaphones, poms and signs and it would be there for the game.
